Enjoying your podcasts, getting the courage to try new things, even though I will be 70 in a few days. Never too late. I just finished shortie socks for my sweet hubby, who has size 13 feet.

Love love love watching you girls. Your sweet personalities and gracious attitudes are a blessing every single episode. You always inspire me to try new things. For “first sweaters”, I agree that a crew neck raglan is the way to go. Mostly for the fact that you can try it on as you go,but also to overcome gauge discrepancies and to decide for your body where it’s best to split for sleeves. They’re generally very forgiving. Another beginner tip-pick heathered yarn, as the color flecks camouflage stitches that aren’t perfectly even. You mentioned Very Pink Knits on KZbin-she is a wealth of knitting knowledge and has numerous tutorials. I’m sure she has a “knit your first raglan sweater” video. I go back to her for both new techniques and refreshers often. May you and your family have a blessed Easter.

My Best Friend lives in Lexington and when I visited, I too loved Magpie Yarns. My Daughter lives very close to Nashville, so will look up Bliss Yarns on my next visit. Thank you for mentioning it!

Congratulations on your first podcast anniversary! I love knitting with Miss Babs Yowza. It is a soft quality yarn, and its big yardage means fewer ends to weave in. Plus, it does not grow a lot when blocked in my experience.

For spring I am knitting the Molly pullover by CoCo Knits. I have a milestone birthday tomorrow and decided I needed to challenge my brain. After I understood how Julie writes her patterns in Sweater Workshop, her book, and filled out the worksheet for the pattern, I realized how amazing her patterns are. I may never knit another sweater any other way. I enjoyed your videocast today.

Hard to believe you started a year ago..I think I found you around episode 2. You have been fantastic since the beginning! Thank you for your sweater encouragement..starting with a child’s sweater sounds like a good idea to understand the construction. I never thought I’d learn to knit socks and was easier than I imagined. Also when I watch these videos I can click to the left side and see the chat comments from your live premier😊Also love the simple skirts Kaity is making…you can also make from vintage pillowcases with elastic run through the bottom hem…haven’t made any but bought a few at a craft sale. They are perfect for pulling on with a tee as an alternative to shorts in the warmer weather..and if made from vintage pillowcases they are already been washed and dried many times😊

I am knitting my first sweater for myself. For at least the last 50 years I have been knitting sweaters, socks, hats mittens, etc., for everyone in my family except myself. My husband said, it is time I knitted something for me besides socks, and he is correct. I would have really appreciated having a daughter, but God saw fit to give me two boy and a grandson. All boys and then just me. But honestly, I have been so blessed, so not going to complain. I love your podcast, thank you so much for your time and all the work to make these podcasts for the rest of us to enjoy. Gods Blessings to you both and your nice big family ❣️

I really enjoy your videos and seeing you both encourage one another to try new things. I have avoided patterns that call for short rows because they just seem too complicated. Then I found a poncho pattern that I just had to make. On the first try I messed up but I pulled it out and tried again and did it. There’s such a sense of accomplishment in that! Congratulations on one year!🎉
