I'm making my first Musselburgh hat right now too, using ruby and roses "home for the holidays" colorway! I just cast on 8 sts and divided for magic loop to start mine, super easy 😊

Such a great episode. Though terrible that you have to frog your Storm sweater Katie. Did you try seeing if anyone has some in their stash on Ravelry? I once ran out of yarn and messaged everyone who had the same discontinued yarn in their stash. I ended up finding two people who kindly sent me their remaining skeins and was able to finish my project. It's worth a try!

Oh wow! I also use 3x5 cards for my knitting. I usually put 1 or two rows on each card, and right now while I watch you, I am knitting off of my cards! I am knitting the Vincas--it's a free pattern on ravelry. Yay for note cards!

I agree that your podcast makes me happy. Although, I feel Kaity's pain in ripping out that beautiful sweater!! I think all the texture takes up extra yarn. I hope you remake it!! I cannot handle the tubular CO either! I use long tail for most everything! I made the Moby Slipover by Petite Knit, and I love it! But, it took awhile with all the cables. I look forward to seeing your next projects.

I finished a storm sweater in spring and it did take a lot of yarn. What if you did the sleeves in plain stockinette, wonder if that would give you enough to finish the body?.

Hi Katie, check out purl soho’s Hood Scarf - it’s a free pattern that is a cross between scarf and hood. Sorry about the frogging… that one is on my list too so I’ll make sure to have plenty of yarn.

It turned out that I was looking at the wrong colours…now I am set, just a little order off mohair and I can start🥰

Diana- I am starting the Friend Vest and noticed that thru most of the pattern there is only one set of numbers- so did you go by those assuming they are the inches and not cm numbers? Love your podcast!

Another great episode! You two are so much fun to watch. You always have beautiful projects, and never fail to make me smile or laugh. 😊 Diana - yes, the alternating cable cast-on! It is great as is for 1x1 ribbing, but not as neat for 2x2 ribbing. This is the alternating cable cast on that I like for 2x2 ribbing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gajbaIyDYqd8oLcsi=vl6oFKPf1IU4v6Z3

I love watching y’all! So sweet you get to spend time together. Kaity I have a suggestion for your red Ruby and Roses yarn. Summer Lee has a sock pattern in red yarn called Maine Coast Summer Socks. Check it out. I have the pattern and yarn for them but you know time and a head full of ideas. Haha. I’m sorry about the storm sweater. I think we all have our knitting heartaches along our knitting journey for one reason or another. ❤

2008? Old pattern? What?! I have, and love to find, older patterns. Like copyright1970 (I was in the 6th grade!!) and older and have some that the pages are so faded and soft that I'm afraid they'll tear. The challenge is that I'm not really sure what they are saying in the directions; hahahahaha. Knitter math; hahahahaha; love it! I'm using that. I say knit off season just like buying clothes/items off season. Buy swimsuits in October and snow boots in March when they are on sale. Knit sweaters in summer and tees in December. I like the juxtaposition (ooh, fancy word; hahaha). It's fun. Y'all are great. Thanks for the video.

Another lovely podcast. I’ll have to look into the Eva cardigan, as I got yarn for Christmas and haven’t picked a pattern. Kaity, you probably have looked on Ravelry for the yarn you need. But there are lots of stashed yarns in the “ yarn” section and sometimes when it says not for sale, I have messaged and the person had left the yarn for so long, and not changed the sign, and have changed their mind and sold me what I needed. Anything to save that gorgeous sweater!
@thefruitfulhandsКүн бұрын
Yes! Hope you’ll join us for the Eva Cardigan! Thanks for mentioning this! I’ve looked on Ravelry and unfortunately, it wasn’t in anyone’s stash. I’ll probably check again before I frog it just to be sure!

Hi Katie and Diane! I like the idea of writing each row on cards and then it's easier to keep up with each row one at a time. Thank you for sharing that. I'm gonna try that. Have a great day. Happy knitting ❤❤

I did that with a 26 row repeat cable pattern then put them in one of those dollar photos albums from Michael's. It keeps them together and it's cute too. :)
