Finished listening about 30 min. ago. Sitting in stunned silence, pondering, rejoicing, praying. You guys are always great, but this one was just filled with joyous insights. When I see that thousands have listened, it tells me we WILL build Zion! Thank you. Bless you.

Amazing, thank you! It all started with the people not wanting to be confounded at the tower, then everyone hurting one another until total destruction, but Ether gives us hope when he says in Ether 13:8 "they shall no more be confounded " Even though this account ends so horribly, we're promised the day will come when we will no more be confounded. 🙌

Thank you for discussing the multiple components of faith. That is helpful. I am still recovering from how you pointed out how much Christ loves the apostles in 3 Nephi. Definitely life changing for me. Thank you

I really love the comparison you show with beautiful temple imagery in 12 and 13 as compared to the inversion of the imagery in 13 and 14. Wow, way to increase the depth, interest, and wonder of Maroni’s writings, which he thought weak, but when read with the spirit it becomes magnified.

As you are probably aware in earlier editions of the chapter heading for 12 it said “weaknesses”. That was changed to “weakness” to match what it says in verses 26 and 27. The Lord gave us weakness or The Fall or opposition is a good interpretation vs He gave us our specific weaknesses.

Hey, still listening… The way I deal with Christopher Columbus is this. Literally the verse before and after Columbus is mentioned we read the wrath of God being poured out on the Lamanites. If you didn’t know anything about America and read Nephi’s vision, you would know Christopher Columbus coming coincides with a dark time for the Lamanites. Thank you for helping me understand what it meant when it said the spirit descended upon him - regardless of other events

Sorry to comment yet again…@Mike that is the most epic telling of Shiz and Coriantumr I have ever heard of. I will never forget that. Can you believe Moroni thought his was weak!?

Absolutely wonderful coverage of equally wonderful chapters, Brothers. You’re right about that gem on humility in the faith, hope, and charity chunk. Respond to weakness with humility, and the Lord will turn that to your strength.

I like to think that Ether hiding in cavity of rock is associating being cared for and relying on the rock of our redeemer which is Christ the Lord.

Thank you! I just had a thought about Christopher Columbus. For all those people who don't like him or say negative things about him. Why do you still live in America if you don't appreciate his discovery of this land? You mock him and continue living on the land that doesn't belong to you? Move back to where your ancestors came from and give your piece of land to those who it belong to (according to your theory) Nope, they will keep living in the USA, the land of the free but still mock the guy who was led by the Spirit to discover this land.... Reality of life... If you read about life of Christopher Columbus, it was fascinating... he was definitely led by the Spirit of the Lord... the Lord has a plan and we are playing a little but important part in His plan. I am thankful for His wisdom..

I have an item for you to talk about. Please. When the Second Coming arrives, the earth will melt with fervent heat. The wicked will be burned as stubble, and the oceans will boil. Is this being confused with the ultimate end of our world at the end of the Millennium or does it happen during the Second Coming? If so, those who are saved, caught up with the Savior return to the surface of a transformed world. Of all the creations of man on this planet, what will be left for us to live in? Will there still be structures that are preserved? Our homes that participated in the Hallelujah Wave? The Temples? Our Church buildings? Or is the burning figurative in some instances and not apply in others? OR do we as a saved or Celestial resident have a way to create our new dwellings upon the face of a scorched planet? Perhaps 1000 years will be plenty of time for a slow transformation. Thanks for your broadcasts and thoughtful instruction.

Wow Shiz death as an anti-resurrection is crazy!!! His attempt to rise up and overcome death only to fail and die is eerie but so cool!
