EP 3 - Easy DIY Floating Shelves

This is a shelf building method that is very simple. I would describe this method as a beginner to mid level method due to not having to drill straight holes, or miter folds.
When building these shelves, make sure to measure out what you need to see how much you can get from 1 sheet of plywood. Get your length width and height and start building!
ALWAYS take note of the size of your brackets. If the bracket bars are 3/4" like in this video, ensure that with the plywood you chose, you will end up with space to support. For example, if this shelf was any smaller than 2.5" in thickness, my 3/4" plywood would not have allowed space for the brakes when sandwiched.
3/4" plywood formula: (3/4" + 3/4" = 1.5")+ 3/4" for the bracket space = 2.25".
1/2" plywood formula: (1/2"+1/2" = 1") + 3/4" for the bracket space = 1.75"

Thank you! The 3/4" plywood is sourced from Peterman lumber, a local yard by me! They are in California, Nevada, and Utah.

Thanks man! Because I built the shelf to size (3/4 space), it is a snug fit. BUT, if that's not enough, you can always screw the shelf into the holes on the brackets.

Thanks for the feedback! Because I made the center gap the same size as the bracket poles, it fits pretty snug. But if you want to lock it in, you can screw from the bottom of the shelf, into the holes on the poles.
