I also LOVE these houses, simply beautiful! My grandparents lived in a Hanok in Seoul and I remember in the cold winter months where we cuddled on the warm floor which was heated with Yuntan (black coal briskets) with a thick blanket and eating steamed sweet potatoes, ahh such fond memories! Thanks for taking me down memory lane!xoxoxo

I love modernized hanoks... there are plenty of hanoks in the countryside, but people don't live in them because they aren't modernized, and they can also end up falling into disrepair as well, which is sad. I think incorporating traditional living back into modern life is great.

This is very interesting. I haven't been to Korea in a while and this is what's been happening to traditional style houses. The bathroom, bedroom, and the general architecture have all been modernized, and I've never ever seen basement and loft areas in any traditional hanok until this one that emulates the style in first glance only.

The atmosphere reminds me of staying at cabañas in the Dominican Republic. When you look out the window it's all nature and quiet! But the ones I've been to are more the cookie cutter kind with garages and a modern look inside not the super expensive traditional ones since they're more common ~

Megan got the cakes LOL! Also I love your pants! Where did you get those from? Being 5'10'', its either hard for me to find my length, or too expensive when I do find those types of pants. I like how you left no surface untouched. You opened doors, you opened windows, you opened closets, you pulled back curtains. I would've done the same thing too girl. I found it funny how you was directing the camera man. "Look how beautiful this is!" *points for camera man to get the hint* Lol

Girl! Your hair grew so long! Okay - you need to do a vid on hair care in Japan and the products you use to keep it moist and healthy. I know they can't have that great a selection of products for African American hair. I mean - you are at my hair care goal and I am surrounded by products and you aren't! Unless it's a wig or weave - in that case.... carry on. But if that's your hair - I think you need to share the secrets! :D

im4ubabe There are so many architectural elements I saw in this house that I would incorporate into my own house. Loving the courtyard. Patios are stupid. I can totally see making the courtyard bigger and putting a pool in there. Of course I don't know how to swim so I would put an outdoor kitchen out there because I like to eat.
@Odysseus_Outis8 жыл бұрын
Shavonne TV hmm... u've just triggered my imagination ..!. outdoor kitchen & pool. (but then again, u should learn to swim, tho.)
@ShavonneTV8 жыл бұрын
im4ubabe yes I should. If only I could remember what it was like in utero...
@Odysseus_Outis8 жыл бұрын
hahaha... lol. well, i totally x2 like ur idea of Hanok combined design. Incorporating the pool in courtyard, and big one piece windows - covering from top to bottom of the walls - strapping around the pool, thru which u can see the pool anyplace in the House. And even dining at near to the pool. This will make the inside pathways of the House ..more efficient & systematic. Ummm.. one thing is... then,,, u should live either in Hawaii, LA, or Florida.. i think. ^^ (oops,, don't tell me u're from there, already.)
