Hi Jeff, I've just discovered your channel and started doing your exercises. I'm studying singing with a classically trained teacher whom I been studying for about 3 years. My voice has developed since then but I still find it very difficult to release tension in my larynx, specially when going higher (Eb3-E, F and so on...). This makes my register quite limited. I've been struggling with this for years. Since discovering your channel and practising your exercises my voice has changed very quickly. I've realised I need to tackle exercises to re train the vocal cords. "The thinning out the vocal cords" video was so helpful that I just couldn't believe the changes. All of this made me wonder if my teacher is approaching the sessions the right way for me. Do singing teachers work on vocal cords exercises as you do? THANKS SO MUCH for your videos and info, it is amazing.

Hi Toni. First off, thank you for the kind comment about the channel and I am happy you’ve found it. I can’t speak for other teachers but I do find that not everyone is talking about thinning out as we ascend into the upper register. Perhaps you could consider taking an online lesson with me to go deeper into the technique and work out those problem areas. Please feel free to write me: jeff@voicesoaring.com Peace and blessings to you.

In a world dominated by higher voices..how does a low voice singer whoay not sound so good up there survive
@JeffAlaniStanfill2 жыл бұрын
Belting should not be only chest voice. It’s a mix. I will be doing a tutorial on mix so and an entire course on mix. Mix is how a lower voice survives up there! 😊

@@JeffAlaniStanfill yeah sir.. I used to follow brett maning a few years ago and he has a mix course,its high time one comes from voice soaring studios as well
