I also have the same issue with the shift solenoid spring double clicking as yours did to begin with up until you said you changed your blown fuse and then showed it was just a click and were able to shift out and my fuse is not blown under the hood and my brake lights work do you know what I could check next

If your brake lights are working, listen for a click under the dash when stepping on the brake pedal. The solenoid should click. If not, the solenoid is probably bad. If you have the covers off of the column, you can probably just watch the solenoid and see if it's moving at all. Hope this helps.

@shannonI have the exact same problem you're describing - no blown fuse. If you don't mind - what was the fix? Was it easy enough and did you find a video specific to your problem?

Now you have to find the cause of the fuse blowing. Was it an accidental short to ground you caused or another short in the system? or the solenoid drawing to much power?

Don't know, really. Never happened again. Something happened at the airport when I started it, so it must have blown then. not sure what else is on the circuit that might have been on at the same time perhaps?

for the brake switch, put a multimeter on the two pins. Should be shorted when the switch is closed, and open when the switch is not closed. You can always tell when the rubber stopper falls apart because you have brake lights on all the time.

@@dailystruggletv5403 Glad to be of help to someone. There might be a problem with maybe the third brake light causing the fuse to blow, but maybe not. Once I replaced my fuse, all was well for months, and then I sold the car.

I have a 98 model the interlock solenoid is not getting any power. Replaced all the fuses. Brake lights are working. Also the park light is off in the dashboard. Anyone have an idea? Please.

@@AngelGonzalez-td6zf I found that the cables are broken between the ECU and the Shift interlock control unit. Its a little box under the dash. Im having to strip the whole harness to check there are a lot of broken wires.

Surging/ unstable/ looping can also be caused by a bad o2 sensor# 1 before cat. Converter. My 2 cents after chasing& thinking dab I.a.c. & intake manifold gasket. Complicated cars these Hondas

In this case, I had the power steering pressure switch and IAC connectors swapped. Ran fine after that.
