That was a really cool discussion; brought up a lot of the frequent concerns of a plant based / vegan diet. We ARE conditioned to eat the food our parents deem good for us, which is in turn what their parents did for them. Thankfully with more modern science & research we know that a plant based diet is optimum for the human body and the less meat,eggs & dairy we consume, the healthier we become. Honey is indeed controversial as it's literally the bees food we are stealing, plus it contains a large amount of bee vomit! But I don't deny it's been proven to help with allergies. Each to their own I guess. Great conversation anyway guys; look forward to more :)
