Hi Bob, thanks for posting that. I didn't know about the micro sd slot! Our field crew has one that refuses to power on, battery was charged and it worked this morning but now it's just dead. Any thoughts? Can it be cold booted or something?

Hi Bob - do you know how to do a manual upgrade to the android is to older toughpad? Panasonic stopped doing ota fw updates for a lot of models....and their android version is super fragile (e.g. 4.4 on FZ-B1s, though they actually tested through 6.3). Could you put up a video that was through a manual update to the Android OS for an older unit? That would be super helpful to thousands of toughpad users! Alternately, any idea how to fix the internet connectivity on FZ-B1s running 4.4.4? Thanks for your videos!

Quick question. I live here in the U.S. and I purchased this device online from a company in the U.K. It says that it has 4g lte but when I try to use it on Sprint here in the U.S., it does not work. Do you have an answer for that?

I have 2 revision c models that seem to get hot and lock the video up. When cold it works for about 15-20min then video locks but ssd runs. If I use the microsoft basic display driver instead of the intel driver the machine is useable but video performance is bad. Both machines run ubuntu 21.04 fine. Any thoughts? Wondering if the machine is dusty, has bad fans, or the cpu heat sync /thermal paste may need to be replaced. Any thoughts? would like to see a mother board replacement or service video.

I can't seem to get the screen backlight to work on my FZ-M1 in Linux, any idea on how to fix this? I would also like to use the 2d scanner but it outputs symbols instead of numbers..

We have a video walkthrough on fixing screen brightness issues. Here is the link to our video on fixing the screen brightness on Linux: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foK9oZatnLucoaM. The thing with 2d scanners are that there is a lot that goes into them reading correctly. Everything has to be perfect including the printing and the scanning. Sometimes it could be the angle you are trying to scan from and other times it could be because of a misprint. I can not offer an honest assessment without it in front of me.
