It's mid-January so that means it's time to start getting ready for the SHOT (Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade) Show in Las Vegas! This is the "big" event for the hunting industry every year and it's were dealers and manufacturers meet to see new products, discuss business and plan for the future. On this episode Hans and Jason lay out their plans for SHOT and offer some predictions on what they expect to see at not just SHOT but also expected trends for the year. Wishing for: Better ‘dual zoom’ tech and built in ‘ocular magnifications’ What happen to our American made and built thermals companies?

Trijicon has been dead for years and their thermals are only still in existence because of our tax dollars buying them. N-Vision is a great company but they haven’t released a scope in about 4 years so we’re hoping they jump back in the game.

Hey guys, can't wait to hear what you have to say about upcoming new scopes. Also, just an observation Hans-we all realize the importance of animals like vultures in our ecosystem. They play a critical role, but most people dismiss them as vermin. I have a long background in zoology and have always found the beauty in these kinds of creatures. I can hear that kindness and warmth in your voice when you talked about Larry bird. Anybody can love warm, fuzzy, cute creatures, but it takes somebody with a really good heart to show kindness the way you did. Never doubted it before but now you proved it. Great example for others. Your kids must be so proud of you.

Exactly! I love my XRF, but Pulsar done passed them unless they have something new about to drop.

To be fair, I'd still take it over 90% of the new scopes as far as image quality. But the fact is if you don't have ballistics calculation nowadays, you're behind.

Got to used to that sweet, sweet government contract money. If Pulsar came out with a Nox18 competitor, with onboard recording, I’d probably jump ship entirely. They seem to be just resting on their laurels. Could be wrong though.
