There is a guy at my local pistol match that occasionally shows up with a slicked up 929. Every time he shows up, a race revolver moves higher up my list of things to buy.

I’ve got to tell you guys, I love the revolver content! My grandpa to this day is a single action magnum revolver addict, and passed that addiction on to me. I grew up shooting an old J.P. Sauer .357 single action, and as I got older an identical revolver in .44 magnum. I think it’s time to load them up for a trip to the range! Thank you for the high quality content to get me through the work day!

100% illegal to use a drone for scouting or hunting in Montana. If you fly a drone, you can't hunt for a day or so.
@thejamaldaher8 сағат бұрын
@@jameslovesjammie Hmm, so you can use them to scout but just not X number of days before you hunt? Similair to not hunting the day you fly in Alaska. I was curious if there are any other possible applications of drones.
@MrGorrila548 сағат бұрын
Most places you can’t used them to scout day-of-hunt or even to recover game as it’s considered unfair chase. In TN some people offer their services to help track shot deer but they make you sign a waiver saying that they are only helping you locate it.

Bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in 44mag early this year and mounted a Burris 2x scope. Taken one doe with it this season. It’s more novelty than anything but I felt I needed one. 😅

Grew up with revolvers, Dad was a Sheriff Deputy in the 60s and 70s, shot a 2 1/2inch Python or 4 inch Police Positive shooting jack rabbits. Carried a S&W Model 10 or 64 for 22 years at work, Department didn't switch over to Glock 22 until 2015. I think one of the you guys also miss about the revolver resurgence is the National Assault weapon ban of 1994, when capacity was cut to 10 rounds in magazines, an 8 round 357 mag revolver made sense.

If you want to shoot full power .357 Magnum ammo out of a snub nose revolver relatively comfortably, the Chiappa Rhino is still your best bet. A buddy bought some 200gr hard cast .357 rounds a while back to shoot through his 6.5 inch Blackhawk. I shot a couple through my Chiappa, just to see the difference and it was pretty noticeable. Definitely not a gun you can simply rotate into your EDC due to the significant difference in operation but it’d definitely be a viable option if you’re going to invest the training time.

The DA revolver is still the best tool when you are in close contact with your opponent. The auto advantages show up as you increase the distance such that the weapon will not come in contact with the participants or their clothing and you can be assured of an optimal grip.

Revolvers are so quirky I'm not sure that i agree.
@mkshffr4936Сағат бұрын
@3gunAMax Proximity failures and grip induced malfunctions are virtually unheard of with revolvers. This can be very important when you are "dancing cheek to cheek". I am not sure what quirks you are referring to.

I LOVE Revolvers! Been a 3 gunner for a while. Bought a 2011. Realized I had no interest in any other semi auto pistols after that and started looking for something cool neat mystical, and romantic like my journey from Glock to Staccato. Revolvers fit that bill nicely!

From a revolver shooter so cool to hear from next level masters like Adam. 1/4 sec frames? Damn. I have shot combat pistol matches with my 6" 586, 125 moly 38sp, and had a ball. I was invited n own no autos but was totally accepted. Shot top 25% slow but steady and think I have something for them with my lever 357 for the 100yd rifle shoot!!LOL. I am not shooting junk, but if you practice religious range safety, Cool how many groups welcome you in with what ya have.

The new model 69 lockup is the same as the X-frame models by Smith and Wesson. And with a sleeved barrel it is actually a smaller X-frame clone revolver.

That 929 revolver on the table came out in that 2014 time period. I think the cost of the revolvers and .38 ammo vs 9mm with some polymer pistols is a barrier. On top of that with the revolver the biggest roadblock to you getting better is your manipulation of the gun, in some semi-autos, it is faster than you will ever be so the gun is waiting(older Colt Pythons not withstanding) on you instead of the gun, so it is easier to just spend the money on the go fast gun instead of the ammo and time practicing.

Charter Arms makes a "Southpaw" revolver with the cylinder release and crane reversed for left-handed shooters, but it is far from a competition revolver.

I got into lever guns and revolvers by playing the red dead redemption games. I also always carry my ruger gp100 in 357 with me every time I go hunting. It’s just Incase I need a handier gun than my rifle for defense, or to possibly finish an animal with it (even though I have never needed to do that), or to maybe get a close up shot on a deer that wonders up under my stand.

You can get the 357 cylinder milled so it’ll except a 9 mm cartridge. Then he could use moon clips then you can shoot 9 mm three or 357 revolver TK customs in Central Illinois can do this check out their webpage

What i got out of this was that modern shooters are more into the gun doing the work because they are less skilled or to lazy to put in the effort of a revolver.
