No meds, no supplements, only water, salt, carnivore…Simples. Prior to carnivore I was on heaps of meds and supplements…kind of feel a bit sorry for the pharmaceutical companies. So glad to be off “conveyor belt prescription medication”. Will never go back to how I was. Wish I had known this as a child. So glad young Cywes has been given the best start in life. I know he will do awesomely well:))

My supplement list Pre-work out. 160z water with 5 grams of creatine, IQ shot in it, 1 LMNT packet/electrolyte-salt Drink on the way to workout allows me to last 90 minutes, without, I start dragging after 60 minutes. I workout in morning fasted, last meal day before at 4pm. Rest of the day- 1- vitD3/K2 combo pill and 1-vit C time release. That’s it.

Tbh that's probably still not right (I'm also a NZer). It's medicine, a step past food, and that is already enmeshed in ethical questions around marketing. I think advertising in general has gotten way out of hand and drugs shouldn't be on the shortlist of what's OK

Great things to be reminded of. And so reassuring to have you confirm what I've come to believe about most supplements. But I did a double-take to hear that you take fish oil because I've come to learn thru much research that the chances fish oil is contaminated (and worse for you) are very high - even for the "quality" fish oil. What is your take on that? I'd SO appreciate your input. I'm on a fish oil rollercoaster of what is best. Thank you!

Dr. Cywes.. 70, male, about 6 weeks into Carnivore. 85% Fat Adjusted. Couple Comments: 1. Had an issue eating enough.. Would go 2 days w/o eating or more. I go had to force myself to eat once per day. I was starving myself because I wasn't hungry. A couple days of forced eating (Once per day is plenty), anmy energy is improving substantially. Amazing how little I was eating. Energy is different. I feel muscle tiredness much sooner (I guess because no instant glucose to draw upon?), and out of breath earlier into excercising. Something I have to work thru, another blockage difference between what's in the fridge and carnivore. 2. Now I find myself breathing thru my mouth much more often, dry mouth. Have to always have something to sip on. Never this much before. Something with Carnivore? Glucose Energy vs Ketosis Energy are different. One needs more air or water than the other? Another adjustment required. 3. Coffee addiction is still there.. trying to exchange for diet green tea. Cheese is hard to resist. Living the dream, as couple issues, but Sticking with Carnivore!

I'm doing a trial run on BPC-157 peptide for the tendon problems i started getting from gym. It has shown promising results on rats. The researchers intentionally severed the achilles tendon of rats and even 'crushed' some of their calf muscles. The ones given BPC-157 made full recovery whereas the control group did not. Considering tendons are notorious for slow healing or not healing properly once damaged, I'm willing to try it. Guess i'll know in 2 months time if it works, but it's worth a shot

Apparently they were not too poisonous, because he lived to be almost 98. If he had skipped them, maybe he would have lived to 105, and left me more money. After he died I scraped the whole works into the trash can. (Except for the fish oil. It benefits my dry eyes and makes my skin soft.)

Gotta disagree about the advertising. If doctors so freely prescribe these things, at least we can be forewarned by the side effects list they're required to put in the ads. And we can do web searches for negatives, as well as positives. Beats naively taking whatever the doctor hands out.

Doc, you're off on this one. Proof is in the pudding, not the jabbering. Try an experiment on yourself. Check your nails now and then start taking a high-quality Collagen supplement and then check your nails again in 2 weeks. That fast. Or, if you work out--which it doesn't look like you do--try taking Creatine and see if you look or feel a difference in a month. Some things flat out work! Some don't. Each person is different. Depends on your needs. I know I need calcium and magnesium supplementation. How? Because I cramp terribly if I don't. That simple. There's a reason pills and potions are a multi-billion dollar industry. They work. Many times. Enough times to make a multi-billion dollar industry thrive.
