“Ongoing” such an important word for people like us! I went through the learning curve on how to get back eating properly and lost 55 pounds. I suppose I will always be addicted to the carbs and sugar, some days are easier than others, but I absolutely refuse to gain any of the weight back, so yes, it’s definitely ongoing.

At 62 years I was 400 lbs. I stand 5,9" so I was super fat! Surprisingly, my BP and blood sugar wasn't off the charts but I felt horrible. I went Keto for a year and lost weight but it stalled. Then discovered carnivore here on KZbin. Went OMAD and 20 carbs or less a day. Since then have lost over 200 lbs. Feel better now than 3O years ago.

Dr. Cywes and his team give the patient so much more than the average in-person doc! Even though it is an out-of-pocket expense for us, we both feel it is worth every single cent. Hubby and I were never obese, although we did lose weight on LCHF. The main motivator was our health. Dr. Cywes sees through the bs obstacles that we put in our own way, and calls us on it, in a way that motivates and encourages. I'm so glad that Matthew is healing through his work, and sent that letter to him! 🎉

Thank you for the video. It inspired me to share my story. I'm 55, 6'1 and weighed 341 lbs September 1st of 2024. A year ago I changed my daily drinking habit to having an occasional drink every 6 weeks to 2 months. I also started walking in July 2024, and was hoping with the reduced drinking, I would shed some weight without changing my horrible standard American diet. No change in my weight, but I started to build endurance. On 9/1 I changed my diet to low carb (20-50g per day), cut out drinking all together, and had a goal of walking 10K steps a day which I regularly exceed at 15K and a few 22-23K steps in a day. I do a 18-6 intermittent fasting schedule eating around 8:00 in the morning with a high fat breakfast to get my ketosis ramped up and complete my last meal of the day at 2:00 pm so I go to sleep completely fasted. I wake up by 6:00 am and walk about 4 miles, then do another 1 hour session on the elliptical when my schedule allows during the day. As of October 24th, I'm down 43 pounds with a fairly sustained 5 pounds per week drop in weight. My goal is to get down to 200 lbs which would be a 141 pound weight loss. I follow your channel for the superb information, motivation and inspiration. Thank you for what you do!

@metagaminguniversemgu224024 күн бұрын
@@musicalessence3936 3 scrambled eggs with either .5 or 1 tbsp butter, and 3-4 slices of bacon. I adjust the butter based on total calorie count. I try to do 500-600 calorie breakfast around 10:00 am then 1000 calorie late lunch like 2:00 Targeting 1500-1600 calories per day. Then I don’t eat rest of day and go to bed fasted. Try to get 7-8 hours good sleep. Also do some exercise during the day.

There are stumbling blocks everywhere, I trip and fall, brush myself off and go on. Tuesday while at the butcher shop and deli, I grabbed a pound container of coleslaw knowing full well it contains sugar. I also got 4 sirloin steaks , 1 1/2 pounds of roast beef and a pound of pepper jack cheese to make wraps, thinking about a sous vide to use on roasts because rib-eye's are $ 16.99 a pound, I think I drooled down my shirt looking at $75.00 tomahawk steaks in the meat case. I weigh 225# down from 274# when I quit cold turkey, drinking beer.

there are poisons everywhere but you are still in charge of what you BRING into your life. Set your sights on what your best life looks like and evaluate everything whether "it fits"...internet shopping ruins your finances, pornography or sleeping around ruins your relationships, horror movies in the evening ruin your sleep, being messy ruins your environment, reckless driving ruins your criminal record...and eating crap ruins your health! If you just have to put something in your mouth, buy some Keto IQ or all-meat sticks or carnivore bars, or just have bacon, cheese, or butter handy. God bless ❤️🙏❤️

Good for Matthew. He didn't mention exercise, assume he's doing it. I am finding that low carbs, decent amounts of fat, lots of veg and fasting has upped my energy levels even as I'm shedding belly fat. As a result I am less fatigued after my daily workouts. I am also finding it is reducing my back pain and has been helpful in relieving symptoms of planter fasciitis because of my reduced weight. Finally, thanks to Cywes, very valuable information. Of interest is that I also watch Ekberg who has some good things to say but follow Cywes to cross check him. Swede versus South African.

I grain 20 pounds back and now it's harder to lose weight . :( This is no excuse , just saying, I feel age plays a part as you become older . So, now I am back to losing 20 pounds. I am on Keto ! I exercise daily , drink water , intermittent fasting , One meal a day , and it's help my acid reflux , Gerd ,etcc. My point is if you are in your 20's , 30's , 40's , and on please go on a diet , that you feel , you can handle . I would never tell anyone what kind of diet a person should be on , have to leave that up to the person and there choices .

I am a 58-year-old female, probably about 40 pounds overweight, fighting my weight, my whole life, and found carnivore. I have been eating primarily beef, butter, eggs, and bacon. I do drink coffee, but put only heavy cream in it. My weight has not moved a single bit. But I will admit that I no longer have intestinal/lower G.I. issues that have been plaguing me for decades. But my frustration level with the fact that my weight will not move is pushing me to give up. my A1c are at 5.7, and fasting glucose at 95. So I do not understand why I am not getting the results that others are getting.

Nowadays, despite our bad eating habits, we reach the average age of about 80 years in developed countries. Healthy early homo sapiens died much younger. How did they die so young? Accidents? If someone uses the word "processed" to describe food, chances are they don't have a clue what they're talking about.
