Another great video, thanks DC! I fully agree, the general theory is sound, however, the practical physical benefit is extremely limited. For me this is a purely bling element. If you are looking for practical performance gains the money you would invest in an OSPW setup would be much better spent in other ways.

Good video with unbiased (unpaid) opinion. I’ve been enjoying the exact same OSPW on my Tarmac SL7 for several months now. People frequently ask me questions. Is it faster? Absolutely not. Is it lighter? Nope. I bought it purely for the aesthetics, and it was on sale for $350. It is quieter though, compared to the standard Ultegra on my Crux that has exactly the same drivetrain. Still not by much. As you stated, I tend to ride more if I like the looks. Haha. Ride on. Ride safe. - SuperMin -

Every person that bought this for their bike bought it for the looks. Let’s not kid ourselves. I do not have one, but I have bought plenty of other products for the looks. I will be taking deliver of a Lynskey GR pro soon and I will probably get 40 - 55 mm deep aero wheels, simply because they look cool. The lighter weight and compliance of a shallow wheel would be better for Perry than the aero of the deep wheels. I will get the cool looking ones anyway

I like your philosophy and totally agree! Great video as always:-) My friend has this exact OSPW and says it keeps his drivetrain very quiet. A benefit he didn’t expect. Any similar experiences?

When you need soldiers, I would enlist, if I meet the standards. Regarding OSPW's: One theory would be the added stiffness [for a cage like Kogel] and possible added derailleur capacity [also possibly w/ Kogel] can improve shifting. I plan to try that theory when I can budget for it between new builds......

Brough you got the worst OPSW of course it's not gonna be worth it. I wouldn't let that thing touch my bike. We'll see if I change my mind once I see your video 🤣🤣
