I've watched this video at least half a dozen times. I sometimes put on my over-ear headphones to really get a feel for the sound of the Viking engine. This time... I threw you on the 4k 65" big screen with the surround sound on! 😆 It really sounds amazing! I didn't realize just how much you could hear the turbo until I watched with the surround sound. I hope to be following in your footsteps with my own build in a few years. In the meantime, I'll continue living vicariously through your videos! Keep 'em coming! 😎👍

It doesn’t sound like a Honda. I bet the turbo quiets it down a bit. Is it loud I person? Seems like the mic toned it down.

Sounds much better in person. Some of the rattling was tools and parts vibrating on the instrument panel which I hadnt secured.

What if I would like this engine in a 4 seater bush plane kit - any recommendations?

There was one just installed in a Zenith 801 which is a 4 place.

As a general recommendation, DO NOT mix sparks and fuel under a roof, because it fires UP. FAA approved sandals, not mandatory.

How are you going to replace your battery once the glare shield is installed?

Great question, the iPad mount comes out with 4 screws giving a 12" diagonal space to access the batteries. There is also quick access on the left and right of the shelf under the panel.

Oh that makes sense. Dave Tillema did an engine change after over 1,000+ hours of hard testing of the engine. He talks about it in detail in his video.
