Ep 56 BLABFEST: Whew!

I didn't get anything specific to quilting, but I did a couple of gift cards. The best part was I had made Tartan plaid hoodies for my daughter and granddaughter, Tartan plaid shirts for my son-in-law and two sons and they all fit well! Even my 6'5" son in law! We had a wonderful time, so good for the soul! Loved your surgery video! I'm sure your niece was sooo relived! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family too!

So glad you had a nice Christmas. I watched this video earlier this morning but I was cleaning my office desk. I thought I made a comment but I guess I didn't press the comment button. No fabric from any body but I can buy what I want. My boyfriend and I went to his cousin's house for the day. She loves to sew. Her sewing room window has a special display rack where she hangs rows of fancy glass balls. I love your stain glass decorations, Lorrie. She and her family were very gracious. John said we were expected in the morning. I figured it was for a Christmas brunch. When we arrived her son said we were early but welcomed us any way. Apparently she sent messages to John on his phone, but he didn't check them. We weren't due until 1pm. Dinner at 3pm. 😶. But like I said, welcoming and gracious. Her husband past away several years ago, and they both love to do needlepoint and cross stitching. Beautiful framed Christmas needlework. Plus many glass blown tree ornaments. Lovely decorations. When I came home later, in the dark, in the rain, I sewed. Wait, I think I told you this already on Wednesday. Oh well. The dolly has lovely new legs. Take care, Marion

Glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas with a gracious hostess. Our granddaughter and Nugget made our visit extra special. They were both so happy to see us. Lots of hugs. Not a lot of decorations, but they did have the cross stitch stockings that Dan made hanging up. We did have a white Christmas….even though we had to drive through sleet…and spend an extra night on the road because of weather. Dan made an excellent Christmas dinner for all of us. 😋
