I can’t believe I have to say this. This is a kindness zone only. If you do not speak with kindness you will be blocked. No warnings. Comment privileges will be banned on all future videos. I created this series as a bit of fun. The intention is to try and cull some moulds. You aren’t always going to like my opinions. I see the potential in everything too but I am trying to CULL! I am being more ruthless than what I would be because I can’t bring them all over to the new studio with me. The mystery moulds are coming back and I will be doing pieces where I don’t necessarily like them too! This was just meant to be a bit of fun where I open a few moulds, give you some different content, have some real time reactions with the bonus that I get to rehome some moulds before I move them all over. Having a different opinion and not agreeing with my choices is no excuse to speak to me with awful, crude, rude and nasty language. It’s hurtful. I thought as a community we were all better than that. It takes a lot to put these videos out. So much time. I also get nervous and vulnerable every single week. I know they mean a lot to so many of you and I love sharing them. A few people have sucked that joy out this week so I need to remind you… if you are not kind, come from a place of understanding or are rude in anyway you will be blocked. No second chances. I need to keep this community safe so I can continue sharing these videos.

I’ve already had someone saying I can’t take ‘criticism’ please know that criticism and being a nasty person are two seperate things. Sometimes they are not mutually exclusive. Please be aware of the difference of having an opinion and bringing someone down using your ‘criticism’ as a front to be nasty. Critics are always welcome when I have asked for them ie; ideas about the boot, your thoughts in the comments. Criticism is not welcome when it is not asked for. People are allowed to exist without unwelcome opinions by others. This person has been blocked for completely misunderstanding the point of this community and this comment. You can have an opinion without being rude. You can share thoughts without being nasty about me as a person, how I look and what styles I like. I would never ever make someone else feel awful about their appearance, their art style or their content based on the fact that I have a different opinion. Difference is what makes us beautiful. Sheesh! Another strange day of being on the internet! I get bad comments all the time but this video really brought out some creatures.

The boots are sometimes known as “Paris boots”. Very popular in Victorian to Edwardian eras. You would need a button hook to do them up. (That looks like a little Shepherd’s crook) The Pennsylvania Amish don’t put faces on their dolls for religious reasons. They believe if a doll has a face, a demon can possess it ( and watch you sleep…) I would love a cow playing the Banjo!!! Love your series!

Yep, they’re molded after Victorian button boots! Moulin Rouge is set in 1900 so it would make sense that the dancers are wearing similar shoes, you weren’t completely off 😄 If you want to see some real example, American Duchess has some called Women’s Victorian Button Boots in stock that look almost exactly the same. There’s also a KZbin channel called Priorattire that has videos of historical outfits that feature boots like these, she also has various styles.

The quilting dolls (the first ones) have tiny black dots for eyes. The circles are the cheeks. And the armish doll does not have a face because in their culture and beliefs they believe that you should not worry about how people look and about the whole vanity stuff, so all the children’s dolls don’t have faces

This reminded me of a snowman stocking holder someone made for me when i was younger. Also the country craft movement in America had a lot of faceless dolls too. They would just be a blank skin color. I collected dolls as a kid and had a few of them.and to me they are cute but creepy. These faceless characters are still popular in some areas like the willow figures don't have faces.

That style of boot was very popular in the late Victorian period into the Edwardian period, and sort of combined the spats look directly into the shoe, no spats required. That kind of shoe required a buttonhook to put on, because of all those little buttons! Didn't have zippers back then. I love this design, it would be so cute with all sorts of colors and styles! I can see it painted turquoise and put in a sewing room, or given a lovely china pattern and filled with hat pins, or even painted black and purple and green, like a witch for Halloween! It would be so cute to see your style of flowers and gum leaves painted all over it, too!

I think they’ve made the cows mouths like that because that’s what happens when they are chewing (top jaw and bottom jaw rotate in kind of opposite ways). So it’s like a picture has been taken of them mid-mouthful (which would make sense if there was grass hanging out of their mouths). The lobster claws though 😅😝

Love this series, great way to work through the moulds quicker! Also, spotted you in a spotlight ad I got on instagram the other day here in NZ, making the big time girl!!! Keep it up!!! 💕 Edit: I loved the boot!!! That is amazing!!!!!! Dream mould!!! To me the boot is an Edwardian period boot, they had the pearl like button look which is considered more 'dressy' than the traditional lace ups, which usually had a scallop or curve to them, so your associations arent farfetched at all! To do the buttons up, they usually used a tool called a button hook to pull them through because it could hurt fingers ect, the style im not sure what they're called, but thats all I really know about them as a little bit of a Victorian/Edwardian fashion lover 😅I made stickers of that style boot for the Ōtepoti (Dunedin) Zinefest in 2021!!

Primitive dolls. Big cheeks, dots for eyes. They were country style decor. Those are cute, but I understand, it’s not your style or esthetic. I don’t know how popular they were in Australia, but they were in the U.S.. They are much more cuter when made as a stuffed rag doll, not a porcelain figurine. I avoid scary movies, especially ones with dolls in them. Even the commercials get me weirded out about some dolls. And I like dolls, of many kinds, but nope to scary ones. Usually I hate dolls of any kind, but I really liked the one at the end. It reminded me of Holly Hobby and I used have a vintage Holly Hobby duvet that I found at a charity shop. I think you made the right choices for all the other ones! The shoe was really cool.

That boot would look so good with a snakeskin texture, and gold lustre buttons! I’m picturing red snakeskin. Or opal kinda buttons? Really gorgeous, anyway! I kinda love the doll at the end - if you leave the face blank, surely it couldn’t watch you sleep at night? 😇

I would of kept the candle stick piece and just sliced off the Rose/ribbon off and made it your own. I could see one of the little teddies holding onto the corner instead of a thimble. Thank you for another great video x❤

Ohhh the beautiful Amish doll is gorgeous, as are the cows and the rag dolls!! You could draw big beautiful eyes on them as is your style- the boot, well no I didn’t like it at all 🤪 I have to say it is interesting finding out more about you and your ideas and phobias 🥰

aww. that last doll looked very cute to me. Similar to a doll i had as a little girl. her face was flat and just had eyes and a smile sewn on. The other ones were indeed a little odd. And I'm sure they have their place with the right person. The Boot just looks so fun! I'm sure you will make all sorts of amazing patterns on them!

I fully vote for bringing the cows back just for those jugs lol plus I feel like the hand would less claw like if you painted them black, lol. Thanks so much for this new series. I absolutely love your content♡♡♡ I don't have a pottery studio near where I live any more and you help me get fix lol

I loved the last doll. It kind of reminded me of a sun child doll (anthroposophic or waldorf doll). they only have a very simple face without expression (dotted eyes, line of mouth). Sometimes drawn sometimes embroidered. It doesn't matter that the face can fade and it is often left that way. The idea is that a child in the game can make the doll feel what they want. I totally understand your feelings about dolls.

I kinda like the last mould of the sitting girl. :) My mom made clown dolls herself, and it reminded me of those. They have a firm and very textured fabric for skin and I could really see that texture in the face and on the hands. I don't know if it is possible to imprint a fabric texture into your clay. 🙈 But mum always sculpted a face for them, it was never just round, the eye sockets and cheek bones were there, here it seems they are not. I kinda get the creeps you get from them though. 😄 It's just that I have a different association when I see it. 😊 I actually really love seeing the clay smashed and kneaded like play-doh, so I didn't mind the smashing of these. 😅

Hi, the first 4 with weird faces, were a popular country style rag doll in the US some years back. The circles were the cheeks and the eyes were two close set tiny black dots like the glasses indicate. That was all the face the doll got. However, the Amish doll can have a very pretty face, you paint faces all the time and it would look good with your style, no problem. Or you can paint it how one might paint a flat fabric doll face, look online. Usually two nice shaped eyes with lashes, two tiny dot nostrils and pouty lips. I think you might end up liking the Amish doll. No fear! lol

I loved all those dolls you decided to not go for, but then again I have at least 8 faces “”watching me as I sleep”” as you put it, but they’ve never creeped me out. I just can’t see any of them being malicious. (Plus, in my mind I just know for certain that because an object resembles a person, that doesn’t suddenly increase its likelihood of suddenly gaining animation). To each their own, though, I just find it interesting hearing the opinions from the other side of the aisle
