This is the most interactive vocal lesson video I've ever seen, almost fees like I'm watching Dora when he looks at the camera and waits for you to sing the excercise haha. I love it! This helps so much! As a male, I've always heard different explanations for head voice and falsetto. My current goal is to make both much more powerful. Definitely browsing through the rest of your vids.

Justin, You are the very essence of an incredible "teacher/coach"! I'm an orthodontist "by profession" and have had extensive postgraduate training in facial development and alignment of teeth and jaws. I "found you" this week on you tube and have watched most all your tube videos. Your passion for singing and teaching music "bleeds" through every video. I started my singing journey only one year ago and was able to quickly dispell the myth that "only select" people are "born" to sing. I have played guitar for years (solo and bands) yet never attempted to sing because of this pervasive "myth". Thank you for sharing your talent and "joy" as you are more than a singing teacher; you were born to be a "life coach". This may seem a bit over-complimentary , however, sincerity and true destiny are easily identified. Thank you "director from New York" who gave you the encouragement to follow your dreams and find your destiny. Chris Megna

Good point about the Larynx! The three voices you did are great examples of the fact when you do a bright buzzy voice , the larynx automatically is lower, in this way the air goes over the vocal chords and resonates up in the front of the mouth up by the teeth , and in the cheek bones and forehead . With a high larynx , it becomes a "stopper" for the air, the larynx is then not allowing the passage for the vocal chords to get smaller and go up in pitch The voice is an instrument , and these are the mechanics of the instrument In practice , it is important to get used to the feeling of being bright with a low larynx, and for baritones. Get used to the sound of not trying to be full in the lower register Another thing that can be done is to practice singing around middle C4 with a bright voice, and even fry register bright , it takes less air and is bright and buzzy , also keeps the dynamic range level , the pitches sound the same volume . This is very much a tenor practice for the baritone, to get used to the brightness . Everyone really is capable of a 4 octave range , it is how you practice . You can get good at exercises , then you have to get good at singing actual riffs ,runs and phrases

@I_Am_Midnight-i4 жыл бұрын
Twang which should give you lots of vocal chord closure and resonance. Make sure you trapped that resonance in front of your face where all the nice resonators are to get that ring or squillo in the voice. Don't let it fall back in your throat or splat, also make sure you're singing the correct vowels.
