I could describe this by one word, Flawless. Hands down the best podcast I have seen post Oct 7th about everything to do with Gaza from a sound Islamic perspective especially on the sacred knowledge part, from a geo-political aspect and even on both an individual and societal level. Both very articulate, intellectual and very to the point when explaining yourselves. I have shared this podcast already, subscribed, liked and will for sure be going over this again. This is one of those episodes that should be revisited every so often, Allahumma Baarik, in particular the part regarding those in the west being in prisons but with different conditions than those in Gaza in a concentration camp, extraordinarily powerful. If you can I would strongly recommend having this Shaykh on at least once a month. The connection, the points made, the bouncing off each other, the listening, responding and asking questions again makes this even 3 months after hands down the best Muslim podcast I have been blessed to listen to on this topic. My brother I am making a lot of Du’a for you that Allah continues your trajectory to the top, protect you, preserves you, forgives your shortcomings and increases you exponentially, Amin!!

May Allah bless you for your duas, and I pray that Allah (SWT) accepts any good we all do. Akhi, if it was up to me, I would have Ustadh Lotfi on every day of the week ;) but he is a very busy guy. Please do check out his KZbin channels, I am sure I linked them in the description. Ameen to all your duas. Take care Akhi

@@TheMuslimPodcaster Allahumma Aameen my brother, Alhamdulillah, for me not enough credit is not given enough to those who are actually trying to be forces of good against the many forces of evil working 24/7. I did forget to mention I don’t agree with the boycotting viewpoint which you mentioned. No doubt we should boycott the evil and sin which we do in our own lives but in turn I definitely agree with also boycotting the establishments which support these devils in anyway possible as both a global stance against helping support them financially and also it’s a way even though small considering what we should be able to do as Muslims that we care about our brothers and sisters. I can’t lie on the grand scale to some extent we can’t bring down the huge pockets which they control the major businesses as well as big tech even then it’s the effort that counts. I am sure you are familiar with the various statements of the ‘Ulema considering boycotting. And Allah knows best.

@@AbuThawbaanAlAfriki Jazakallah khayr for your comment, akhi. Regarding boycotting, as I mentioned, it is linked more to the individual stance one carries, and I have no problem with it. However, the effectiveness of such actions depends on the objective, as one can only judge how effective an action is when it's linked to an outcome. For example, removing the occupation of Palestine cannot be achieved by boycotting, and I am sure you will agree with me on this. Can individual/group-based boycotting weaken a country economically? Well, I haven't seen proof for this, but that doesn't mean it cannot. Please share any details you have about this. However, when we consider state-backed boycotts, sanctions, oil embargos, etc., we know these can be very effective in weakening an economy, resulting in the weakening of the state. Another vital point to remember is why the state of "Israel" was established and why the USA/West stand with and support it. They will never allow this 'Western colonialist project' to collapse due to economic reasons, well, not until it doesn't serve their interests any longer. Another important aspect is that if people fully focus on the boycotting element, it can serve as a distraction from working towards the actual solution. Regarding what you said about the sayings of the Ulema, I am not coming from the angle of whether the concept of boycotting is allowed or prohibited in Shariah. Rather, I question its effectiveness but more importantly, see how it can be used as a distraction from working towards the solution. It's really good discussing with you, akhi. It's always good to get advice and reminders from well-intentioned brothers like yourself. Alhamdulillah. And indeed, Allah knows best.

Subhanallah ya sheikh I've been suspicious and wondering since the beginning of all this : where are the donations for Palestine going? I receive tons of emails every weeks from charity asking help for Ghaza. But the people on the ground say they only received a truck of spoiled cookies and burial materials. Where are the millions of donations going? Allahu mustaan. You don't know who to trust anymore.

I personally don't think there is something dodgy happening, such as donations being stolen or given elsewhere. The real issue here is that the donations do not enter Gaza as there is currently a blockade. Even though I don't think it is intentional, I believe that the messaging is misleading as the people who send donations, do it under the impression that the needy people receive it. On a more serious note, the Muslims in Gaza have been clearly saying that they do not want charity... rather they expect real assistance from the Ummah. This issue requires more reflection from the wider Ummah...
