One of my favorite channels as I see work on cars I would never otherwise see. Looking forward to this latest series

Best wishes for the shop's future - hope to be along for the ride. That blasting machine is pretty insane once you dialed it in, works so fast.

I've just found your channel and am now subscribed and looking forward to seeing the 308 restoration over the months ahead. I have a 328 in the UK so very similar engine bay to this 308 injection! Thank you for posting.

I'm getting there, so many problems in my shop, but all of you guys really help me get through it. We'll replace the bearings behind the lower timing cover next episode. That is, if there are no more delays!

Russ, That wet blasting machine is fantastic for aluminum parts. I believe the cam cover is a magnesium alloy casting, it took me many hours of wet sanding and detail work with a dremel and polishing wheel to get a shine on it. Unfortunately, for the larger castings such as the cam tower and oil pan, there are a lot of casting surface defects that require a sanding wheel, wet sanding through various grades and a lot of elbow grease to restore to a polished finish.

Yeah, the machine is great! I like the factory out of the box look that it leaves. I too have sanded and polished parts like that for hours for a custom look. Also the early e type intake and cam covers.
