@@bishopofrustyiron3101 yeah i've done a couple before but your way is a lot better than how i was doing it. the little things like using brake cleaner so you don't strip the allen bolts and just spending the bloody money on a pair of circlip pliers already lol. also the trick with the flathead to remove the circlip is a gem! Thank man!!!

Will you do a video on lowering it by removing some of the front torsion bar plates? There do not seem to be any videos on that method of lowering the front a little bit. Thanks Guys. Great Job.

@@bishopofrustyiron3101 Great. I'll be looking forward to seeing your video on that topic. The T-2 Bay Window usually had the front end up slightly higher than the rear. The factory did this intentionally. This was to accommodate the weight of two adults seated up front. Ostensibly that weight leveled the vehicle. I want to lower the front end of my T-2 by about 2 ". Then it should have a stance even with the rear. I believe that removing two of the smaller torsion stacks from within each tube should lower the front to sit level with the rear. I'm not looking to slam it or give it that lowered stance .I am only interested in making it level all around. For those who want a really lowered bus, there are adjustable front axles and drop spindles out there on the market for such. But that is not my goal as I only want to level the front with the rear. You guys do great presentations and I love watching them. Thank you so much for doing that. You're developing quite the following. I've told all my T-2 buddies about you. Hello Bishop! Thank you for all the great help! Just a quick question. When doing cv boot replacement why to some say it’s easier to take engine and tranny out? I don’t get it.

No way! It is way harder to take the tranny out. Leave it in, easiest way. It is a little hard to get to a couple of the bolts, but just turn the axle by hand...super easy when off the ground. I've replaced a few, just jack up the rear end and dive in =)

That looked easy! I have installed a complete drive shaft unit on a 1978 bus and now hear a clunking sound when turning and accelerating at the same time. Any thoughts?

Hails Toby and thanks! Hmm, on the clunking...take a look at all those metric long black bolts, make sure they all have the washers on them and that one keeper one. I presume you used about a gallon of lube putting these back together? not running and resting, can you slide the axle back and forth at all? Like there is some slop? Not an expert here, but it could be you are getting some movement of the axel at the bearing location (or a bolt head is hitting something).
