1st Chateau Wedding in a Year !
Long time coming and what a relief we finally have our 1st wedding !
We are both so tired as we have worked non stop but when you do what you love it is no trouble only pure joy !
On this vlog there is some chateau preparation ...
A bit of delay as flowers take a bit of time to come :)
But all is well that ends well !
Part 1 of what i can only call as an amazing weekend wedding day and stay !
Part 2 will be on next week x

Had me in tears a year without flowers and you created a beautiful bouquet for the bride. Your a wonderful couple that are a great team to pull everything together. Your son created a lovely piece of art.

Anna, I had a floral business for over 30 years and I found that if you cut the bottom of the flower stems and smash them a little (no more than 2 cm) with a hammer, then shove the stems into very hot water (at least hot to the touch - steaming a little), then shove them up and down, like bouncing a baby on your knees, 3 to 4 times. This forces the water up the stems and fibers. You'll see that the gyp will start popping stems left and right and will stay fresher longer. You're right I don't particularly like the smell of the flowers but some do. I love pittosporum (variegated) in bridal bouquets. They're shiny like camellia leaves and exude a fragrance like no other (sort of like myrtle). For the eucalyptus, it also comes in a leafy variety, different than the 'candle' variety you have there. Beautifully done! Makes me homesick for wanting to be surrounded by beautiful flowers again. There's nothing like the fragrance of a room filled with flowers...... but, if I close my eyes and cast my mind back to those crazy hours before a wedding where myself and a friend frantically did boutonnières, corsages and bouquets.... hmm, that was fun while it lasted. I'm happy to see that you are in your element. I know the bride will love it.

Anna, for the flowers, how about keeping/storing them in the wine cellars where it is cooler with the same low, cooling temperature. Maybe you can adopt one of the rooms in the cellars as a 'flower room', and have a nice drink with it when you are there working!

It's so refreshing to see "new" Creators putting out a few Video per week. You have put out 2.25 Video's over this past week and I thank you for the enjoyment. It looked like Anna had all she could do to hold in her laughter when Edd was talking about past experiences getting "greased up". lol Really cool Edd mentioned Phillip. Speaking of which, been meaning to say for a while that Anna's mannerism and warm and sincere personality really comes across on Video. You and Marie Wiik have such different styles in flower arranging. Both are as you say whimsical but yours are whimsically classic. I adore your bridal bouquet. It’s extravagant, it’s white with a hint of blush and bashful and so generous. Of course the bride was going to love it. I can’t wait to see part two. The chateau with floral arrangements everywhere will look spectacular as will the reception terrace. I just hope the weather is kind. I’m so happy that you have the first wedding and that now things are opening up in France that this is the first of many. I'd rather watch you guys and what you're working on than any movie in my experience. Your love for beauty makes you radiant; your personalities towards each other is, at least in the videos, so real and grounded in mutual respect.
