I have picked up a flare from ebay without the adhesive, do you know what the equivalent adhesive would be if sourced in the UK as that Teroson stuff seems only available from the US

No. They are streamline and stuck very very well.

If you buy your pod from a UK supplier like A2B conversions from Leeds you could have a full 6ft 6inches across with a larger flare on the drivers side and all for under £700.

Not sure on the thickness of glass. It’s a C R Lawrence window.

Just wondering on the window fitting when you're talking about tightening screws up. Would it not be better to do opposite screws the same way you would do a car wheel up. Just thinking it would pull the window on more square. BTW loving the build

You could do yes. I tightened in the order I drilled them as the ring can move a bit 👍🏻

26:49 1 minor thing that would be better to install the other way around is the rubber trim of the window. The seam is now on the front. When driving rain would come in faster this way then when it was the other way round! Besides that cool video, and nice work!

No you are incorrect mate. They are the right way. If they were reversed you would almost have a recess for the water to drive at. As you look at that window at that time stamp. The pane on the right is actually set back 10mm. To allow it to slide behind that fixed window. It’s 100 percent correct. 👍🏻

finally in all the van build videos I've watched this is the first time i've seen someone used the right tool to cut out a window aperture, grinders and jig saws are fine for unpainted surfaces (metal fabricator of 20 years)

Hey bud, hope you can help. I am going to buy the flares from Evo, noticed they provide a window recess for drivers side but not passenger. Would that mean a window cut on the passenger side would just not look as good and maybe should be skipped? Or maybe do a recess flare both sides.
