“Climbing down the mountain is still climbing the mountain.” When the team encounters intense Alaskan rains while breaking camp, they discover this to be true. Skills, trucks, and gear are tested to the max before Cyrus takes the wheel--and the lead--as the guys overland to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska! While Clay has ventured there in the past, for the boys, Prudhoe Bay marks the beginning of their own quest to start their Pan-American Journey. Rappelling, real-life wilderness first-aid, swift current river crossings, and an epic camp among wolves are all part of the journey in the penultimate episode of Alaska: The Last Frontier! #xoverland #alaska #overland

Will there be any chance perhaps to win a hat/cap with your logo or something? Would be great to have one 👀 Absolutely epic journey, although I kinda wish the series was more like your first expedition to Alaska. Watching old series recorded in a less professional way gave me the feeling like I was really there with you. It was more amateur (in a good way) and wild and this one is presented like it's a Hollywood production. Don't get me wrong, both are great and awesome to watch. I just love the way 2013 expedition was made. Probably gonna rewatch it soon.

I suspect that I'm not alone in saying thank you from an old guy (72) who has neither the physical capability, nor the financial capability to do what you have been doing. As I watch each of your videos, I feel like I'm simply tagging along for the ride. While serving in the Navy in the 60's, I got to see a lot of this world, but now, nearly half a century later, I'm getting to see portions of God's creation that I never got to see. Thank you! Clay, I consider you and your bride my friends, and I am grateful to know you, and to be able to hitchhike on your many journeys. Blessings! Arlen Tofslie

I feel like Clay has had so many moments where he's said "...and that is a story for another time." Might be an idea to make a small video series that's called "a story from another time" or something where you tell those stories.

27 years ago my friend and I packed a Subaru and drove north from Spokane, WA to the Arctic Circle in the Yukon Territory. It is a journey we’ll never forget and it still comes up today in conversation. The Northern lights dancing over Yellowknife NWT, being stared down by Bison outside Whitehorse, and many others. Your many videos always bring those memories front and center, almost like being there all over again. Thank you!

I love the series and as a fellow Christian from the Great Northwest and a Gen 5 Toyota 4Runner owner, could not understand how such a perfectly shot and edited series is not generating more hits and likes. I think the problem is that it is just too much of an extravagant display of wealth and materialism. I looked up the Patriot campers and $45k for a tiny little tent camper? No average American can afford that. Each vehicle starts at about $50k, then has another $50k worth of mods done to it. It's incredibly overwhelming to see how much money has been thrown at each vehicle. Heck, even each person is equipped with thousands of dollars of the best outdoor clothes, hats, and accessories. It's just a bit too much for those of us with average incomes to see you guys go on these trips and reminisce about how great the opportunities and memories are that you are making for you and your kids. Duh... If my dad was a millionaire instead of a cop, maybe I would have fond memories of trips to Alaska and flights in bush planes rather than memories of trips to the Oregon Coast in a `74 Dodge and a pickup bed camper. I think the series is well done, and a lot of great people are involved. But it has gotten so polished and professional that it has left behind the majority of Americans that can't afford the best of the best in glamping gear and vehicles, and equipment. I looked up Dr. John's Mackinaw hat and it was $50. I can't afford even the hat that you guys are wearing without making changes to my budget. So, I appreciate the great job you are doing and appreciate all of the awesome scenery and experiences, but when you have more money in your camper and 4Runner than I have in my house, it begins to get annoying. I don't get any vibes from the guys that they are elites, or consider themselves better than anyone else, but the continuous display of wealth, materialism, and elite gear is just nauseating. I saw a channel titled "Overlanding for the Poors". Perhaps that is more appropriate for those of us making under $100k a year.

This reminded me of my first trip to Alaska. I retired the last day of July 1999. The following Monday my wife and I left Colorado for Alaska driving the Alaska Highway. We made it to Deadhorse, but the bus wasn’t running that day for us to go to Prudhoe Bay. Still it was an awesome trip! I now have seen Denali 5 times…all clear days top to bottom! Been to Homer twice. McCarthy, Valdez, Fairbanks, Wiseman (you apparently drove by), Kodiak (had a long snorkel! Just kidding!) Seward, Hope, Haines, Skagway, Chicken, etc, etc. Returned via the Casiar Highway through Hyder, Alaska. August, September and returned home in October. An awesome adventure! Thanks for bringing back memories!

With overlanding becoming so popular, I’m surprised you don’t talk more about leave-no-trace camping. I just don’t want Alaska to become a destination for irresponsible fire pit trash burners who leave their human waste all over my state. Our summers here are short and waste doesn’t decompose like it does elsewhere. I know XO is very responsible with LNT but it’s your job to teach and remind your followers. Thanks for a great show.

Can’t wait to see what the future have to come for everyone one!!

Really a testament to all the incredible talents of the team to not only make it through this adventure but also capture it in a unique and stunning way in such a tough, yet beautiful environment. Seeing Tanner on the other side of the river still shooting while the trucks pass him by and knowing he then has to catch up to them on foot with camera gear is pretty awesome. It's obvious to the trained eye what an immense amount of effort was put into these films in pre-pro, production and post. Thanks for sharing them with us.
