Something to mention, is that when we want to support external community projects, we don't feel comfortable giving 30% of our donations to KZbin (many of us don't have much to spare). If they dropped it to 10% then it would be more palatable.

I'm a big fan of casey ladelle and a year or so ago I started a volunteer vehicle recovery service up in Tri-Cities Washington where I help people that are not fortunate enough to be able to afford to have a tow truck come get them whether they are on the side of the highway or out in the woods. No matter the situation, I get them and their vehicle where they need to go. I currently use a 2002 ford f150 to pull people to safety, sometimes I have to use a trailer. I use a lot of the techniques that casey uses just in my own form

I have been waiting for the Casey interview. I would like to know something though. Casey said if you watch a video and then leave youtube to go to a link that hurts the creator. What if you control click where the link opens in another tab? I actually never close my youtube tab, I control click things and open new tabs. Can youtube tell that? does it have the same effect? The other thing I wanted to say was .. I still want to hear about Casey and Cascade Heavy rescue before moving to oregon. Was really hoping to hear some of that story. The monster truck stuff was an interesting surprise. We actually had Bigfoot at the summer festival in the little town I grew up in, back in 1979/1980 (ish). Casey is right, no one even looked at the driver, just the truck. one last thought. I watch every single casey video. I'm not subscribed because he does x, I'm subscribed because he also does y and z and every other letter of the alphabet. I just like his attitude and his character. Him and Rory, every single video.

@caseyladelle, I’m a 71 year old lady from the Netherlands (not Ireland), and followed @nickzentner ‘s college lessons on the geology of the Cascades, so KZbin said: hey, you love the Cascades so much, so here’s Cascade Heavy Rescue. That was the one with the lookout tower at Mount Hood - it so happened that 50 years ago I was invited to a lookout tower on the Colville Indian (Native American) Reservation in Washington. So here I am…

You guys hit on one of the biggest factors in why Casey does so well - because he's upfront and honest about it all. What you see is what you get with him (even though some people have issues with that). I'm glad to see you doing these interviews and look forward to many more to come - hopefully there are plenty of people to bring on - seeing the "personal" side of people is great in my mind.

Thinking carefully about how I want to phrase this. I am a subscriber to Casey because Casey consistently gives back, and he does nothing to harm the environment. And there are others who have not consistently chosen the environment over their lifestyle. And those channels are the ones I no longer tune in to.

A suggestion: manual focus on the cameras, set at the start then left alone. Having the cameras constantly changing focus as people wave their hands around is really annoying. Otherwise, good interview. You ask questions then let Casey answer and talk, that's the right way to do it.

I learned about Yankum Ropes because Matt And Casey use them. There’s a box sitting in my bedroom with two Offset Winch Snatch Rings XL that I ordered on 12/25/2023. I’m a retired guy who’s done his own tree work and occasionally recovered a neighbor or a delivery truck stuck in a snowbank or slippery driveway. So why would I buy these accessories when I don’t even have a winch on my Jeep? Because Casey LaDelle posted a product review and how-to video in his channel and I just had to have them in by arsenal of nice but seldom used tools. Casey is a natural salesman. I say this as a guy who had a career as a quota carrying field sales engineer which is why I can afford such things that I really don’t need. That pitch was so good that I just had to buy! 😉

I remember when Matt had Casey come in and consult with the heavy wrecker build. I chased him down from that and have enjoyed his antics and his heart for folks in need. And thanks Alan for hog-tying him long enough for this interview. But you missed a point. Where did Cascade Heavy Rescue come from? Thanks guys.
@CaseyLaDelle5 ай бұрын
I’ll answer that. After having a bunch of trucks running around with my last name on the side and hating having my name out there for everyone to see, my two requirements for the new business name in Oregon were that it not have my name in it, and it not sound like it was from California. So we ended up settling on Cascade Heavy Rescue, and now ironically my name is out there in front of millions of people per month 🤦🏻♂️

Thank you. Fairly newer person and clicked on this to find out more about how this Casey LaDelle came about on KZbin . He seems to open up more when people ask him the questions. One of my favorite videos was when Ben and him helped a couple out who were strandes in an RV on their 29th anniversary. The lady was holding the camera while they worked and asked how they met. Now I found out part of Matt's Off Road Recovery ties with Casey. I watch some of his videos also. I see Adam and Casey are good friends and not just because you got roped in together. Matt did a real Yankum Ropes on a personable side.
@grantkohler76125 ай бұрын
The two best things about the Casey LaDelle channel is that he puts out multiple videos each week and that he is very personable. I think the 'mistake' of using his name for the channel has worked to his benefit - he has not pigeonholed the channel content & is free to do any content that involves said personality. Another great thing that works for him is that when he does product reviews he thoroughly tests the products beyond the expected use and has no qualms giving criticism about the products - aka his reviews do not come across as advertisements. Shoulda heard the things he said about the guys at Yankum Ropes. Second thought, probably best if you hadn't.
