EP79 Window install into a FJ40, with a small hiccup! + Seal replacement on the power steering pump.

My Dad joins us and helps with installing all the windows into the Cruiser using the rope and Lanolin (R50) process, but after a long day I was rushing the front window install and came to tragedy and hit the rubber window seal in the wrong spot and cracked the brand window!
Plus I address the small leak in the front of the power steering pump by replacing the seal.

Well done! Installing the glass is a big accomplishment. Seeing the windshield glass break was hard to watch so thanks for the warning! My Dad has helped with my FJ40 and it will be a great lifetime memory!

I verbally went ooooooooo when I saw that glass break. Gutted man, but at the end of the day it's only glass and can be fixed. Can't wait to see the first drive and the massive smile on your face!

Ahhhh the tension of it all. I did my 45 on my own and it wasn't fun. Don't use screwdrivers as they may scratch the paint. I used a plastic tent peg with heaps of soapy water. Love the lanolin idea as it protects the steel even more.

I have a question, I live in Chicago and I will love to find out the whole weatherstrip "rear window, top windshield, quarter window left and right and those between the roof I meant the whole kit for a Toyota land cruiser 1978 pick up truck F45 I dreamt about that machine as a teenager back in the 80's and I just bought an old guy who need a lot work. I'll be so glad if you help me to find the right place or any website for this matter. Thanks in advance.

Sady I couldn't even blame it being old glass. It was a brand new piece. Just me being inpatient and pushed it a little bit too much and not paying attention after a long day.
