Ive been to kurokawa. It is amazing. Best food ive had. Wish I was there during the light festival.

Fabulous. So cool you were able to get to Kyushu this year. We hope to get to Fukuoka at some point. It looks really good. Definitely want to try some of that Yatai. Cool that Team Labs Fukuoka is there too. Heaps of people online trying to get to tickets to Team Labs in Tokyo. Kurokawa Onsen was lovely. I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. We didn't go for the full ryokan experience there but we did rent an onsen at one of the ryokans for an hour or so and it was awesome. So was the horse meat sashimi we had in one of the restaurants there. The kids love it. Nice job on this Elaine. I'm looking forward to the rest of your Kyushu adventure. PS as I was watching this we were supposed to have been at the airport on our way to Vietnam but we had to postpone the trip. So I am very jealous you got to Japan this year. Still our favourite place in the world. 😀

Thanks so much for watching my video, I highly recommend you and your fam to drive in Kyushu, as it's such a nice scenic part of Japan, and it's less hectic than travelling on public transport! Im confident you guys will make your way to Japan in no time knowing how much your fam enjoyed it😁😁! Enjoy vietnam, I've just come back from Vietnam and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I went to HCMC, message me if you're going there and if you have any Qs 😄😄

@@Curious_Nomster Thank you, I will pick your brain re Vietnam. I know there is a shop in HCMC that serves fish sauce flavoured ice cream. I am definitely going there. 😂 Kyushu was wonderful. We got the car ferry across from Shikoku and then drove to Takachiho, Mt Aso, Kurokawa Onsen and Nagasaki. After that we drove all the way back to Tokyo in 2 days which was bit nuts. 😂 It was lovely to see Kurokawa Onsen again in your video.

We went to the same restaurant in fukuoka! Funny thing though it was covered in scaffolding and it was 10pm on a weekday and completely empty. It was our best meal, and we just stumbled upon it.

Hey Patrick, it's early April. If you want to view Sakura when visiting Kyushu, make sure you visit around 2nd last week &/or last week of March. We missed the Sakura by a week :(!
