The last segment on field target was to me the most enlightening. THank you very much for posting this whole segment. Learned a bunch. I am just getting into PCP backyard hunting and target shooting because of my wife with dementia restricts my game hunting. My FX Impact and Hawke scope are great but I wish I had put more into my scope. Hawke is super but there are better scopes to match my FX. Love .177.

Hey Steve......Once again well done coverage of an event not all of us could attend. Were as viewers at home behind the screens truly appreciate your efforts and time spent. I feel I can speak for the majority as the comments validate. Thank you! My personal favorite shots were the candid ones and when you interviewed Jack & Hector from the field target arena of airgunning. My mind was just as blown as yours when we ( Thanks to your filming and interviewing) learned about the Scope (WTH!?!?) moving and changing the POI with temperature influence!?!? HOLY SHIT!!😮💥 I so thought it was because of like what you were saying with the air density or the barrel......NOPE!! The optic!!!! Man......I just heard the brakes lock up!! WOW!! Next level shit for sure! I'm freaking out about that and will be for some time......Your reaction on camera was awesome. I laughed out loud! Ha! I would like to end my lengthy comment with some hat-tipping to you for interviewing Hector and to him for being what seems on video a really passionate, humble, and seemingly just a cool dude. If the Field Target arena is comprised of people as himself and the commoradory is like what he was describing........Pfft...Sign me up!! Besides, something about the woods and the rifle like where it all began for many of us. Hope all its well with you and your loved ones in FL. during hurricane season. Stay safe.........Cheers.

The temp. shift in the scopes is only on the parallaxwheel/knob. The cross or klick stays where it's at. It's your clarity of your image that's used to measure the distance to the target. When themp. changes, the glass in the scope expanse or shrinks changing ever so slightly the clarity and thus reading an other distance of the paralaxwheel. Resulting in shooting to high or low if you do not adjust for that. Because you use the paralax of the scope to measure the distance to the target and then klick your scope so the cross is where the pellet should hit. Kind regards

I have a question. With all the international participants coming in the country for this event, how are they dealing with the US customs? I know the US is strict on the import and export of certain weapons, mainly the high end scopes in this case are regulated. How do they avoid problems when entering and exiting the US?
@hablep5 жыл бұрын
Most of them have sponsors that have guns waiting for them at the event. There are only so many platforms and once they master one they can use that platform even if they have never touched that particular gun.
@AEAC5 жыл бұрын
Some do ship them to the U.S. and others check them on the plane. As mentioned, FX USA did ship a pallet of guns & equipment to their home near the event... they posted a Facebook pic of it. Steve

Hi dear Gerhard, First of all I would like to thank you for your useful information in the airgun field. Last month I bought a Crown 22 caliber and I have some questions about using and maintenance. I usually use this gun every 10 days so it means the gun is not used for 27 days every month. These are my questions: 1- when I don't use the gun should I remove the tank or let the air stay behind the regulator? 2- After finishing my shooting what pressure should the gun have until the next time for shooting? ( the lowest pressure that has the lowest amount of damage to the tank or other parts) 3- what is the best pressure that can be behind the regulator to have the best efficiency for 22 caliber and if we increase the velocity should the regulator pressure increase as well or not? Or is it the opposite? ( some experts say the best pressure for the regulator is 140 bar ) 4- my gun's barrel is pellet liner 22 caliber and I always put the port behind the pellet on 22 caliber, if I put it on 25 caliber, does it damage the gun? 5- can I have slug shooting with my gun (pellet liner) and have an accurate shooting? Does FX company suggest this or not? 6- I would like to buy a liner 25 caliber What liner with what length (500-600-700 mm or... ) and what code (a or b) and slug or pellet do you suggest? (I have enough budget only for one liner and I would like to have long range shooting.) 7- Can I shoot pellet with slug liner and have accuracy? 8- what's your idea about harmony in shooting and the accuracy of FX crown without shroud? Do you suggest something better like silencer or muzzle break,...instead of default shroud? (Because each time I remove the shroud I get better groups and as a result better accuracy) 9- My gun has default shroud of the company, because the shroud is like telescope so do you think it's better to have the shroud open or closed? 10- I removed the liner of my gun for cleaning and then I attached it but I didn't have the accuracy that I had in the past. I think the liner is not in the right place. This question is about liner indexing, so in your opinion what is the exact place for liner ( what angle) to have the best accuracy? 11- And the last question is that in your opinion for having the best barrel vibration control and the best accuracy with how many orings and in what points should I get the liner? ( my liner is FX crown 22 caliber(500mm) and there are 2 orings around the liner) Thank you in advance. Regards, Iman Jokar iman.trader@gmail.com

I've got a Beeman R10 in .20 cal. Very accurate, sub MOA at 50 yards. I don't think I ever tried to shoot at paper over 50 yards. I think I paid $279 in early '90's. My stock doesn't have the nice checkering his has though. I haven't shot the thing in over 7 years.

Matt Dubber, I owe you an apology... my perception of you was that you were a spoiled kid that got to play all the time shooting and made it big on KZbin. I always appreciated your videos but that spoiled kid image was always in the back of my mind, telling myself that what you were doing wasn’t the norm for most air gunners and out of touch with “the real world”. You just CRUSHED that image I had of you by hearing your humility with your speed silhouette win and voicing your thoughts about making an even playing field by having categories that separate the hot rodded air rifles from the not, making the competition more about what an individual can do with what he/she has and not about what modifications he/she doesn’t have. Matt Dubber = CLASS ACT! Well done and congratulations on another WIN!!! My mind has been changed.

I don’t get the .25 cal 700 mm is the most popular. Unless you shooting competition...it’s not a backyard friendly caliber by a damn site. I agree with Matt....22 is going to be the best all around caliber. I foresee barrel and caliber upgrades in the future being in .22 for shooters who have genuine concerns of backyard safety and overall versatility. Not to mention the selection is absolutely huge in ammo choices. The .25 and .30 will buck the wind much better to a point but the energy doesn’t just stop on/in the critter taken with them like the .177 or .22. Some may not agree and that’s ok...this is just my take on the subject. Not hating or disrespecting. Only concern is air gun laws staying as they are and not being changed due to shooters not thinking about what’s past the target. That’s all. Also the man from Wales is correct about scope and temperatures and how they effect the shot. He IS SPOT ON! I at first thought I was crazy...that maybe😂🤣😂...but he IS right! Chit changes as temps change on every single one of my scopes. 100% TRUE! I don’t care what it cost or who makes it. 3000$ scope or a 50$ scope. I have seen this and thought I was nuts and mistaken and blamed the gun, pellets, humidity, density, whatever! He IS RIGHT! They move and change with the temp! For real! No jokes. God Bless y’all, take care, stay safe. BTW...Hector was amazing knowledge being shared. You live a blessed life to meet such amazing people. Very lucky.

Any chance of you taking us to a USA hosted WFTF event? And a Hunter Field Target event? A mix of competition coverage, chatting with the shooters and exposure to their gear would be a great way to introduce many here to the sport. I think in the US we mostly hear about hunting and long distance bench rest side of air gunning. Nothing wrong with those. But using your scope as a range finder and mastering the 4 positions may broaden the appeal of air gun shooting. Over in Europe they even have 10M "bell target" shooting in their bars (pubs). How cool is that?! kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3nWf4yJotWnm8k
