Man! With all those "nuggets" a person walks away with a pot-o-gold. Excellent content, scenes, and rubbing elbows with some great people. The common takeaway for me was how down to earth everyone you talked to is. I am disappointed that Keith Gibson was not spot lighted much......understanding of course that most likely that will happen next year simply because of timing during the event and getting footage, and really not knowing the results of the match until the very end of things. Steve I cannot say enough about your abilities to bring us the right stuff, every time pard! BTW it took me 4 days to watch this as I did not want to miss out on digesting the segments properly. I'm just getting into Air guns. This discussion about the FX M3 and the harmonics is so far over my head, I am drowning. Lots of great information if you can follow it. I could see if I made the investment in one of these with the same set up they have, I would have to go to classes for 6 months or more to understand how to operate it properly. I have a Hatsan Carnivore and a Benjamin Trail in .22 cal. model BTN292. Haven't been able to shoot much, but I have shot some rounds from my window. Great video. I'm drooling.

The gentleman who filmed this has 2 channels. 1.AEAC 2.AEAC VLOG The vlog explains how to tune. It's not nearly as complicated as you think. Something like the Air Venturi Avenger is a great place to start with a easy tunable rifle. AEAC covers it all. Avenger is only $350 bucks.

The comment above me is good advice. I started out with an Origin instead of the Avenger because I didn't have an HPA compressor yet. Don't get intimidated. Were living the "muscle car" era of Airgunning right now. What a time to be alive...
@visamedic3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know….when I think of “muscle cars” I automatically go to the AirForce big bores when they first came out. You had those, high priced, big bore, take a water buffalo down guns, and then you had either a break barrel or a pump up Daisy. This is like the “high performance, sports car” era. The advances in the tech, even in the lower end guns is just freaking amazing. I’ve been a voyeur to all of this for the longest time. Ooooh that’s a fast break barrel, ooooo that’s a massively deadly big bore….we are getting all of this in .22, .25, .30 cal PCPs. These things are viable, very dangerous, hunting weapons. Like take down an elk (refer to the KZbin video) dangerous. Just amazing.

Question…if I carbon fiber tube my barrel and make it ultra stiff…would this tuner still work? My SK-19 has a barrel that is thicker than my marlin .22 Lr. It hangs by the lcd and the stock on 2 hooks coming off the headrests of my Sierra and it’s never out …so my point is…would it make a difference worth the cost. The SK is sub MOA at 100 right now in a gunvise and perfect conditions. BTW I have a ton of respect for Mr Ken Hicks but I also am concerned for his health. You commented on how that person's rifle has a bolt that you only have to pull/push the bolt rather than having to first lift up on the bolt then pulling it up then pulling the bolt back then forward. Years ago Browning made a .22 caliber rifle that used a bolt just like on that pellet gun. About 20 or yesrs ago Browning designed one of their hunting that used a threaded muzzle device that you turned to compensate for what back then was termed: barrel whip. During that time people wanted an accurate lightweight rifles
@kingsqueak22213 жыл бұрын
An idea for a video. I would love to see you go through an assortment of lead free pellets and experiment in dialing tunes for them. Often they are going supersonic which is not desired and often they over penetrate as well, but I've not seen people who de-tune for consistency and performance with the much lighter lead free pellets. I may be wrong, but it feels like a lower power tune would create a sweet spot for say
@AEAC3 жыл бұрын
It's interesting that you bring this up as over the years, I've been trying exactly as you describe... unsuccessfully. The challenge has been that the airgun manufacturers design their hammer springs and hammer weighs around a pellet weight range specific to that caliber... that does not include the weight range of the GTOs or Baracuda Greens in their respective calibers. In other words, I just couldn't get the gun to run smooth ES & SD outside of their intended ranges. The gun's lowest settings would often still overpush these rounds too. That said, I've found them to be great for accuracy inside of 30 yds in the lower powered guns that aren't tunable, or in guns that are tunable & can get the power down, albeit with a poor ES. Steve
@kingsqueak22213 жыл бұрын
