Thnks for sharing , Fairy Meadows has become rather populated since I was there last, many years ago, to me it certainly seems overcrowded. 😢 Due to over population and global warming, and other factors, Pakistan is suffering generally in environmental terms; and rainfall, snowfall, have decreased a lot. If this level of tourism continues, I don't know how long before the natural resources fail. It's high time that the public and local communities thought about these problems .
@lauraabornsteinАй бұрын
Maybe it was the time of the year that I visited (late August - early September) that it didn't seem crowded to me? Now that I think about it, I was told that there were lots of people there the week before I went. And yes, unfortunately Pakistan is one of the countries most affected by climate change 😢
@nixtallasАй бұрын
@@lauraabornstein yes, alas, it's a vicious cycle. Due to global warming, it's becoming super hot down in the plains and lowlands, so large volumes of people escape into the hills and mountains between May/June until August /September. That puts additional pressure on these areas, in turn , with all the attendant problems . (BTW that's a beautiful horse you have back home, is it an Andalusian breed? I visited Spain long ago , back in the 1990s and I remember seeing such lovely horses in the Andalusian region, in Seville and such places )
@lauraabornsteinАй бұрын
@@nixtallas I understand, I really hope the environmental situation for Pakistan improves ❤ thanks for sharing. And yes! My horse is a purebred Andalusian horse, you have a good eye! 🤗 He was originally bred for dressage but ended up doing English showjumping. He's pretty good at it too, not a super high jumper (he jumps 1,10 in training and I regularly compete him at 1 m) but what he jumps he jumps very well. I've also started him recently in cross country and he's not bad at it! He's a very well rounded horse, good for trail rides too

This was a great video, I saw your previous video I know you are not in Pakistan right now, but I am hoping you went for Rakaposhi hike, that is like the best thing especially when you see Rakaposhi glacier. I can't describe it in words... upon your comments on wearing jeans in last video, yes "ELITE class" people do wear western clothes in Pakistan especially in big cities like Lahore, Islamabad but they came out in the evening and go to cafes and mall, not to public places. I think you will face this problem in all of South Aisa (less in India's big cities), but you should try some Pakistani dresses, they are really vibrant and, in my opinion, more comfortable.
@lauraabornsteinАй бұрын

Hunza, Skardu, Naltar Valley, Deosai National Park, Lahore... and I'll post KZbin videos about all 😊 As for dress, I think you're right. I'm sure people dress more "western" in some social circles, but it's definitely not common in public spaces. I think that's what confused me when watching other KZbin videos

I totally get your point of view, and I still have a lot to improve when it comes to travel vlogs and KZbin in general, since I'm still relatively new to KZbin. However, when it comes to this specific style and commenting later via voiceovers instead of in the moment facing the camera, I will keep doing that. I actually like this style and it makes vlogging easier for me. If I didn't do this I don't think I would be posting vlogs at all, and if I was constantly facing the camera during my trips I wouldn't enjoy them at all. Commenting later and the voiceoverd allows me to be comfortable vlogging and traveling, and I like the results.

That said, Gilgit Baltistan is currently under Pakistani control, I used a Pakistani visa to access this area, so I'm going to call it Pakistan.
