4:15 You cant inflict major status conditions while Misty Terrain is up. Tapu Fini has an auto Bodyguard for both sides when it enters the battle.

Funny thing, you kind of can't get Stealth Rock on Skarmory yet, so people that say that hacking doesn't give them an advantage are lying. Regardless, good game!

Nope, not this gen. You can only get it on Skarmory by breeding it with an Archen or Aerodactyl that has it, and they can only get it via TM in an earlier gen, or via move tutor in ORAS. Since move tutors for Stealth Rock and TMs for it don't exist in S&M until Pokebank comes out, there's no way currently for Skarmory to get the move right now.

MarvinTheMartian1089 Hacking doesn't give you an advantage as long as you only give your mons moves that they could get without it. It's giving them unreleased moves that makes it unfair, not hacking in and of itself.

When you can give Pokémon moves that a breeder can't get yet, like Stealth Rock on Skarmory (which again can't be obtained on it before Pokebank comes out), then it certainly does give an unfair advantage.

MarvinTheMartian1089 Exactly, that's what I said. So if you're going to hack, don't give your pokemon moves they wouldn't be able to get normally. If you're just doing it to save time, not giving them unreleased moves/abilities/etc., then it doesn't give you any advantage. His opponent was cheating by giving the skarm Stealth Rock when it can't normally get it yet (although in his defense, it probably wasn't done on purpose... he probably just didn't know it couldn't learn it yet).

Isaiah Quidilla flying types and levitators, hits other tapu's on their switch in (Bulu and koko love to switch into fini) and it only lasts 5 turns so if it comes down to a stall war with a toxapex it will come into play

Stealth Rock Skarm prebank... Why is this allowed? There is no way to get Rocks Skarm prebank. "Muh Egg Move" The only mon Skarm can get Rocks from is another Skarm, that has been taught Rocks via TM or Tutor in a previous gen. So TECHNICALLY, Skarm shouln't get Rocks prebank. :/

Also your opponent wasn't getting unlucky on the burns for the most part, it was that the Misty Terrain was blocking them. Scald is sort of questionable on Tapu Fini because of this, as it can only burn stuff off the ground

Well, misty terrain stops scald burns, and Tapu Fini doesn't have ice beam. Plus like you said, Toxapex can take shadow balls all day, so that's why jolteon went with thunderbolt hoping to snatch a win if your marowak wasn't lightning rod.

ferrothorn has many many drawbacks that toxapex does not. Ferrothorn has no reliable recovery outside of leech seed and leftovers, a 4x weakness to fire and gets shut down by most set up sweepers. Meanwhile toxapex has access to regenerator AND recover, this usually allows toxapex to stay in, even on major threats, inflict poison damage, and just recover any lost damage. Ive even had cases where toxapex can end up with more health than it started with after taking a super effective hit because of recover. Meanwhile ferro almost always has to switch when anything might carry a fire move And lets not forget that toxapex also has access to haze, allowing it to stay in on setup sweepers. Ive often seen haze sets run Soak, removing any STAB bonuses an opponent might have, effectively forcing the opponent to switch. All the other tanks in the game share similar drawbacks that ferrothorn displays, however toxapex clearly does not. When building an OU team at the momment you MUST bring at least one direct counter to toxapex, or even several, this is OVERCENTRALIZING THE META, which is the biggest reason any seemingly normal pokemon gets put in Ubers.
