Chris, for seat belts. Pull it all the way out, clamp it so it has less tension, clean the belt then use dry silicone spray and polish the belt with it. No need to disassembly anything or even take it out of the car.

If you are going to remove the headlights from the housing, you should go ahead and cut out the lens and make space for the cover you are making to sit flush. It would be easy to cut the lens cover and make a backing plate to replace the material, but leave it a centimeter (or what ever the thickness of cover will be). You could use you 3D scanner to and 3D printer to make the backing plate and include anchor points so you can use OEM bumper mounting hardware. It would ensue the end pieces stay secure and flush. Between the fact that the cover pieces will never lay flat against the headlight and that the gap changes depending on what angle you are looking from, it will just look cheap. Having the center pieces flush with the daylight running lights and the gap perfect no matter how you look at it looks professional. And it is also the difference between being invited to a SEMA booth and staying home. The wheels look great. I am not usually a fan of aero discs, but these ones look really good and will be even better painted to match the body color.

I've been thinking since the last video about the headlight situation. Why make the cover removable? Install some LED accessory lighting in the gap similar to how the cybertruck does. Install 4 rectangle ones across the gap, 2 outers pointed down to factory spec of the BRZ of the dims, the others be full floods straight. Looking at it here, you won't be blocking much airflow with this lighting as it has the upper radiator support bar and hood latch.
@CrazyChemistPL13 күн бұрын
How about cutting off that triangular vinyl piece at the inner top of the headlight where it meets the hood, and making it just one line from one headlight cover, through the center hood extension piece to the other headlight cover?

Finish the boat. Water season is just around the corner and it would be cool to see the party barge on the water for memorial day. Push the BRZ back a little if youre gonna hit sema in november/ december. At least play with the camper truck for camping season. I get that you need to build this, but now doesnt seem to be the time. Find a good stopping point and move to more time sensitive things. Just a suggestion.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but how feasable would it be to retrofit motorized 3 printed flaps for those eye brows as an homage to the OG 86? Maybe by making your own headlights or headlight covers at least.
@Jake_DeLoach9 күн бұрын
Maybe I’ve missed it, but what’s stopping you from opening the headlights and creating a fiberglass piece that fills that entire thing except for the DRL? It would look super clean. No bevel from the cover, etc. I think this is the way to go if you plan to do lights in the front vents anyway!
