This is a hunt on a small farm pond that has been loaded with ducks. It was some fast action with big groups of mallards. This hunt is what duck hunters dream about. The mallards were pouring in all morning and we limited out by 9. This is the type of hunt that I love. I love getting big groups of ducks into a small water hole.

Hey man, love your vids. I notice you have the Hero 5 black and it looks like possibly an extended battery and mic. I have the 7 black and I haven't had much luck finding attachments for it as far as batteries and mics. Would you happen to know if 5 attachments will work for the 7? They look very similar in build. Slater Watkins Amen, Mr. Watkins. I grew up in So ILL and hunted much flooded timber at Oakwood Bottoms (when it was still good) and at the private club my dad (a waterfowl bio) helped establish, as well as a lot of Arkansas hunts. There is NOTHING like wads of mallies fluttering down through flooded timber. You can feel the wind from their wing beats!!!

I have a patternmaster and I'm not gunna knock it. It patterns great. But for me, I just cant get use to the shorter shot string. Especially when you consider that steel shot already has a pretty short shot string. If my factory chokes dont pattern the best I'll opt for a trulock or Carlson, depending on the choke I'm looking for. I typically shoot a improved cylinder or a modified for everything from doves to geese

So why not let them land? Y'all would have got done sooner and might could hunt that spot more if you didn't stay out there as long. Yeah you got them today but if your in it for the long you got to think about that. When you shoot into big groups your educating them and if you sit in a hole calling and spooking birds there less likely to come back. Just some thoughts.
