Excellent presentation of Mýlingur. You're wise to warn people about the risks: I walked to the summit of Mýlingur last week (including the highest peak - Snubburnar) and, beyond where you stopped, it gets really challenging - and I had perfect conditions.

Hello Mads, WOW, the images are lovely, but the aerial drone footage is out of this world, Well Done! The Faroe Islands are a stunning location for any type of landscape photography. Thank you very much for producing this video, I've saved it for future viewing due to the EPIC footage, and over the top soundtrack, I've watched it twice so far.

Mads I have to thank you IMMENSELY for the detailed information in this video which allowed me to see Mylingur for myself today. It was easily the most exciting hike I’ve ever done, and I hike a lot. Totally amazing, and the view south along the coast to Saksun was equally stunning. I feel very privileged to have seen this special place. Also your photo location map has been very helpful!

I did the hike from Tjörnuvik to Saksun last summer. The view from the hight, where you was in the mist, it was a good outlook. But I didn´t know, what is in the west. Fantastic! This mountains and cliffs!! I live in the Alps. We rarely have something like this. After eight hours you are fix and foxy, but what you have seen! I appreciate your confidence to the weather. I waited three hours in the mist of Kallur Lighthouse: then ten minutes clear. With good photos we forget all the troubles. Thank you, Mads, for your fantastic tips.

Wow!!!! I remember your first videos of the Faroe Islands, which were awesome, and have followed your journeys ever since. I so much appreciate that you have stayed true to your original principle of taking your viewer on a journey with you to locations that some of us can only dream of. I love your honesty, story telling, the sharing of maps of the journey, the quality of your images and epic drone footage, and, 'just remember to bring your brain' has to be the quote of the decade. I also like the way you have not fallen for the 'trying to get free gear from manufactures' by doing gear reviews!!. Undoubtedly, you have just pushed the bar beyond the reach of any other Landscape Vloggers on KZbin. Just sheer brilliance, and thank you for sharing your journeys.

@@MadsPeterIversen fair point, although i think reinebringen is way more dangerous but it hasn't stopped the crowds. I just hope this doesn't count as "private property" and turn into dranganir 2.0 since there's a small house at the bottom of the valley by Mylingur...

Great stuff and a palce on my bucket list to visit. How are you finding the Sony after using it for a while. Switched from the older Sony to Nikon as I didnt get on with a few things that have now been updated more so the colour reproduction was always a bit off and took a bit of tweaking. But may switch back at some point. Atb for 2019.

I am currently preparing a trip to the Faroes in May 2020. At age 70, I won’t be able to go on a good many hikes you are suggesting in your very fine videos, even though I did quite a bit of hiking in the Pyrenees. « Bringing your brains » is an absolute must whenever you’re out hiking. I was wondering if there are local guides that can accompany your on excursions as I will be traveling alone. Do you have any info on that? Thanks for your response. Once again a wonderful video. I am impressed by the power and the poetry that beam out from your photos.
