I thank you for this I was just curious because my maiden name is Bordoy. This curiosity began due to a bitmoji that holds a clock in their hand. I have always had dreams of these great scenic views of mountains, water and sun. I must explore this island perhaps I can experience what my soul is looking for.

I’ve only lately subscribed to your KZbin channel, but wow, your series on photographing the Faroes is amazing. Wonderful stuff. Not only the fantastic stills but you set the mood so well. Not that your other content is not fantastic but the Faroes episodes are simply stunning.

The first video I saw from you was about the Faroe Islands. From that day I followed you in many wonderful places. But since you realeased those new videos about the Faroe Islands, I am amazed by the epic landscapes beautifully captured both on drone or camera. Thanks for sharing your travels in such wonderful and rough landscapes.

I had a two questions: Is a car a must need in Faroe island or it’s possible to like rent a bike or maybe walk and how does it work for hotel what site do you use?
@MadsPeterIversen5 жыл бұрын
Yes, a car would be a must :) yes you can walk and bike, but wouldn't make sense and you're not allowed to in the tunnels.

is this the Faroe Isles that kill whales and dolphins?
@namchebarwa15 жыл бұрын
Yep Pilot Whales (not Dolphins), then eat em, I think I read that there are only 50 arable acres on the whole 18 islands ...... but your crazy to not go because of that...... the place is a dream and still relatively unknown!!
@Professor_Internet_PhD5 жыл бұрын
Yes, and it's terrible, but really consider for a moment what's worse: the killing of a thousand whales that have lived free in the ocean a year for a people that hardly have anything else but sheep and seafood to live on, or the killing of many billions of cows, pigs, chickens born and bred in captivity and then 'processed' on assembly lines as if they were always mere products and never conscious living beings and, to add to the disregard of their lives, are subsequently sold at bottom prices with people carelessly throwing half of it away without any care, even though they have countless other food items available to them at all times? Most of the people offended by this Faroese practice are all coming from these countries, countries where billions of animals get slaughtered every year behind closed doors; so theirs is very much a selective outrage.
@namchebarwa15 жыл бұрын
We stayed at this lovely hotel in Torshavn where every morning we'd wander downstairs to have our free breakfast in the Hotel's restaurant and right their on the wall there is this large picture of some very Faroese looking guy wading in the ocean that looks like its red with blood and he's got a hook or something (I presume hauling about chunks of whale flesh). Fancy having a picture like that in a restaurant....... sort of like they were proud of it or they were making some sort of point by having there on display.... anyhow I suspect your picking a fight here that they are sick of being lectured about...... I read a bit of their history and I suspect the pilot whales are seen a a bit of a god send...... remember that this is a place which has such a harsh environment that I think that for most of their history the population never exceeded 400 people...... they have a lot of interesting social customs and differences that seemed to be motivated to keeping the population at this level (i.e. who gets land and rules about land use outside the towns)....... the population is currently only 50000 (30000 living in Torshavn) and this increase is a result of fishing which enabled them to support a larger population...... anyhow as you can see from Mad's video's this place is amazing and yet it has somehow slipped under the tourism radar....... its well worth dropping everything and getting it there before everyone catches on!!
