they are the real deal Abe! last week i caught 2 more giants on the 8 ft 30-60. I ordered it hoping it would be heavy enough, tried it out expecting to break it. it has blown me away, i caught a 165 in 5 minutes and yesterday had a 190 in 6 minutes. that rod is insane paired with that reel

I don’t fish the GOM for tuna like this. But man. That tuna around 20 min mark. Reel is still in high gear. Why not put it in low and get it in way faster and easier when it’s right there? It’s definitely not gonna rush the boat or anything pinwheeling right there. Just my opinion
