According to the State certificate, this is indeed an ESCO Elevator!!! MY VERY FIRST! Unfortunately, within the past few years DC Elevator overhauled the cab and replaced the COP, Call Stations and Lanterns with Innovation Prestige fixtures, but even though DC Elevator did their thing to them, the New Fixtures and Cab actually look VERY NICE and blend in with the Hotel's Style very nicely, but FORGET the fixtures for a bit! Even though the cab and COP and Call Stations were replaced, this is still a VERY TASTEFUL Mod and this is STILL an ESCO Elevator at heart as it still features it's Original DRY POWERED and EPIC SOUNDING Hydraulic Motor AND you can tell the controller is original because after the indicator changes with the ACME beep, it is followed by another floor passing chime, that is, one I've heard on ESCO Elevators in videos I've seen of them, so even though this was physically modded, this is mechanically totally original at heart!
There is another elevator here that actually got a complete and total mod by Thyssenkrupp that I showed in the middle of the video, but due to it opening up right at the front desk and being nothing special compared to this BEAUTY, I did not ride it.
Anyways, moral of the story here, even if an elevator physically looks modded and generic, still, take it for a ride! You might be amazed!
Also, This hotel was absolutely beautiful too, it is a Historic Building from 1916 that has been renovated into this VERY NICE Tapestry Collection by Hilton Hotel!
Installed in Circa 1980s. (ESCO, likely with GAL JetPlus fixtures)
Modernized in Circa 2010s. (DC Elevators with New Cab, New Call Stations, New Lanterns, and Innovation Prestige fixtures and New Indicators. Motor, Controller and all of the mechanical equipment remains original though!
