Man.. what an awesome shop. Being 53, skated many years. Seeing those boards, the Lucero boards always my favorite. Madrid to Schmitt Stix to Black Label. Beautiful collection.

Those old boards are such a trip! The history of skating is so interesting, I haven't heard from Don in a little while, but I think he's still looking for a new location. Hopefully, soon so that stuff can be on display again.

I’m a beginner and walked in to skate in the back area. Talking to Don for 30 min. He gave me prefect advice for some things to work on; and he never saw me skate. Such a nice guy. Let’s support him through his move.

Super stoked you gave a little shine to Future Sk8. I visited STL 2 years ago and stopped by to pick up a board and skate the park. At the time the park was only a couple kickers and a flatbar. Don was kind of iffy about keeping the park and location due to costs and I'm really glad to see he doubled down and added more obstacles instead! He was super cool to talk to, shared some stories with me, and I got the vibe that the shop was one of those spots where kids can just hang out. Go support if you're in the area!!

I bought my most recent board from Don last spring(2024). He was sad that he was going to have to move. He had the whole lower level of the old Sears. I bought my first craftsman wrench set in that same spot in 1987 lol. I really hope Don gets another location, I'll support his sk8 shop if he does. He has a wealth of skate history knowledge and loves to share it. He is a true sk8 head through and through ❤

I loved when I skated with my pals back in the 80s. We were south side street skaters aka Minnesota Posse grinding and railing on anything and did Ollie's over whatever was in front of us. Shout out to my pals Scott, Warren, Salasis, Brian-RIP, Arie-RIP, Mosses. Was the best times. Sk8 or Die bro.

that is one cool place! I have to ask you about Monza... I did not look into this brand until now, but I recognized the black pad with a fire-like logo on a white frame right now.. was this brand a Swedish brand once upon a time?' I been looking around for this bike now, but I only find one store in the USA for the Monza bike.. maybe I am wrong? do you know if this is sold in Sweden? thanks! and keep at it with these kinds of videos, this one was really cool to follow! I love nostalgic places..

Thanks for the feedback. The primary owner of Monza, Thomas, is Swedish and still lives in Sweden. Most of their sales are direct to consumer from their website. But they do have some shops who sell them too. I have no idea if any local shops in Sweden have them. If you email Thomas, he might be able to give you some direction: thomas@monzabc.com 👍

@@TheNostalgicNeighborhood ok, thanks for getting back.. will try to write to him.. I did get hold of someone on their Facebook page yesterday.. But they said, yes, the main office is still in Sweden, Stockholm but after the pandemic, we decided to stop selling bikes in the Eu and now only sell bikes in the USA.. I asked if I could not just go by their office and find a local deal right htere!? ...but seemed on whoever I talked iwth over Facebook felt that they really do not have any bikes here in Eu anymore or do not wanna sell them to us.. I do not know... I mean if had the headquarters of a BMX company in the city where the company was first started I sure would still have a few bikes at hand where I worked... but I do not know...
