@@BarkandJack and in a way its a form to gently criticise Fratellos influence on this piece. But to be honest, the watch is a combo of historical features throughout the Apollo era. Specially the brushed case, which astronauts used to prevent sun light reflexion on it. However Adrian, you are right, this watch has no place on Speedmaster heritage....

@@racingr3553 Have to disagree with you there. #SpeedyTuesday became a culturally-significant social media experience for Speedmaster owners and collectors. One could argue that it really helped to revitalize public interest in the Speedmaster, and vitalized interest for a new generation of collectors. And, the 2017 Speedy Tuesday Speedmaster Professional's aesthetic is very classic. It's simply a reverse-panda Speedmaster Professional with great lume, classic applied logo, and numerically modified silver-white radial subdials. A manager at a major Rolex AD (Authorized Dealer) recently told me he thinks the 2017 Speedy Tuesday looks closer to vintage reverse-Panda Rolex Daytona's than the modern black-dial Daytona does, and is a much better looking watch. It looks vintage, and the new Daytonas don't. He LOVES it. Bottom line, I think Adrian's taste radar's WAY off on this one (regarding the 2017 Speedy Tuesday). That said, I still enjoyed the video. The beginning of it was entertaining.

One of the things I have enjoyed most about your channel, and your reviews, is how genuine your enthusiasm and emotional response is. I see my own enthusiasm and sense of wonderment reflected in your expression and tone, and it elevates your content to a higher level, it resonates. While I am an unabashed Omega enthusiast(Fanboys make excuses for stupidity and blindly accept anything, I do not) I have to blasphemously admit I've never been a huge fan of the Speedmaster, mainly because I simply have no use for a chronograph. I might have to snag one...scratch that itch.

I bought the first Omega in Space (MET edition) and couldn’t agree more. The more I looked at buying a Speedy, the more I was drawn to the FOIS. It’s 2998-esque handset completely changes the watch and of course the smaller case wears better in my opinion as well even though it’s thicker. Love it!!

I recently saw a Speedy in person that I had previously mocked; the Blue Side of the Moon Aventurine dial moonphase. It’s a real stunner in person, but looked like a clunker in pictures. Great content and a great lesson that seeing them in person is an important step in making an informed decision.

I’m with you on the simpler dials. Although I’m really warming to an Air King over an Explorer 1 even though it’s a bit of a muddle. But as a chronograph I really do love the speedmaster. More so than a Daytona and then when you consider the price difference it’s insane

The ultraman one is really cool for ultraman fans. They marked the 3 minute mark on the chronograph in dark orange to signify the 3 minutes ultraman can only last fighting monsters on earth while the seconds indicator where the ultraman head sits is the transformer for the main character to transform into ultraman. It is a really cool & fun piece to own in my own opinion.

Love the case! Went to buy one and ouch...£115 for the two watch case...then they sold out...good job Adrian, hope they at least thank you! Searched the net and found the Peli 1040 which is the exact same size as the two watch case, add in the foam which I’ll have to cut myself and it cost...£35.28 delivered to the UK. Hope I don’t mess up the foam but apart from the custom 11 it looks the same foam...sharp knife time...
