Building a board is something I aspire to do one day. Till that day comes I’m sticking to my battle mats and continue working on more and more terrain.

I love battle mats too! Nothing wrong with a nice battle mat! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for showing the process, it gives me a lot more confidence in trying my hand at making a gaming board.

Do it! Gaming boards can be a lot of fun to build!

This is sick. Such a great looking board. You make it seem like a fairly simple build, as well!

It is easy! I just made it flashy! 😁

Looks great. Probably would have made the stone slabs a little lighter to contrast more against the dark earth and align more with how they looked in ROTK but that’s personal preference. It’s still an absolutely sick board. Particularly love the water and the gravel looks sweet.

This is just a wonderful board and really enjoy the fast format showing enough detail for laymen like me.

Wow that was not only really easy but looks great too, I'll be doing the same for a 40k urban combat table

Excellent work! Learned some good techniques! Similar to the very large scale Osgiliath on youtube, however you made it look like something anyone could do!

Great job, brother! I’ve been wanting to try some resin pours myself. Keep up the awesome work. - Rick, USMC.

Definitely give it a go! Resin pours aren't as scary as people think they are! Thanks for watching!

looks freaking sexy. love how dark and ominous it looks, reminds me of the shadow of mordor crreping up during fall of osgiliath. Amazing and inspiring work

Great video man, the board is fantastic. I used to play the LOTR Tabletop game back in like 2003 and this vid made me miss it. One thing is the lighting was so dark it doesn’t do your work justice. May be worth picking up some of those video light w/ soft box sets. I got a set with everything off Amazon for like $60. Would make a huge difference, especially with the final show off shots.

Great video! I have wanted to do something similar even before the new terrain was announce (more so since then) but always doubted how it would turn out. Even with the resin yours looks easy for someone with limited time and no attempts at boards yet. Guess I better get on it!!

Thanks for the kind words! Definitely give it a shot!

I want to get into more schmancy board builds. Do you glue your buildings down permanently to the board or just reserve a footprint to place them on?
@tabletop.wizards Жыл бұрын
These are unattached for storage and modularity!

Brilliant board here in. England I do use game workshop for some things but 3d printing companies offer better money deals for ruinies

wow epic board, instant sub. Tho I reckon you need a 4x4 board
@tabletop.wizards Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The Osgiliath scenario in the Quest of the Ringbearer book calls for a 2x4 board, which is why I built it this way. I can always make 2 more boards in the future to bring it to 4x4!

With the resin pour, you did a great job sealing the dam. How did it go when you went to remove the plastic?
@tabletop.wizards7 ай бұрын
The plastic dam snaps off very clean and easily.
@markdickey Жыл бұрын
Turned out so good! What made you choose a 2x4 board? Are some of the scenarios in the Osgiliath book that size?
@tabletop.wizards Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! The scenarios in the new starter set have no board size listed, just deployment restrictions. The "Osgiliath" scenario in the The Quest of the Ringbearer book calls for a 2'x4' board though, so that was kind of the reasoning behind the choice.
@petrsuranovsky844 Жыл бұрын
Is it from only one Osgiliath set?
@tabletop.wizards Жыл бұрын
No. As mentioned in the video, I bought a second set of the terrain sprues off eBay. So, it is two full sets.
