Ainsley Campbell of Kingston was looking back too much on that anchor leg. But it was really cold out there on that track. Well done guys.

Had nothing to do with it, His legs was beginning to give out which is why most long distance runners look back? They do that just to make sure the pack ain’t on their back? It’s ok if 1-2 runners are closing? But It happens far to much at the high school level and definitely at the pro level!! When your giving it all you got especially in those conditions; anything can happen. And a victory isn’t a guarantee especially with underestimating competition. Its just that simple; He had started hitting the wall and that’s where you saw the spaghetti legs started kicking in!!!! I wonder what happened to Seton Hall? They had the fastest overall time coming in……. Nj standup!!!!!

We ran 741 here in 99 came in 3rd. Some of my best memories are Penn in high school. The best part was running against the best of the best mainly the Jamaicans. One team from Ireland ran 744 and 10 flat in dmr which we got 4th in 10:11 our anchor got walked running 411 cause kid from Ireland spilt 4 flat

My rough split for Chatham anchor is: ~1m:54s. Given the rain and how cold it was (49f) ...thats probably a 1m50s-1m52s in good weather. He takes baton at 5m:53s @7:14 He crosses line at 7m:47s @9:09
@Jake_Ritter
@Jake_Ritter Жыл бұрын
That's a very large range. Definitely could run faster but 1:50 is a long shot. Just my opinion 🤷‍♂️
@HunterReport
@HunterReport Жыл бұрын
@@Jake_Ritter Highly unlikely they were properly warmed up and it drains energy to stay warm for however long they were waiting to get baton so at least 6 minutes out in the cold...but likely another 5 minutes before then without a sweatsuit or anything. That cold will slow you down from the start, first lap easily 1-2 seconds slower, and the potential to lock up with lactic acid is higher. I can see 4 seconds in the high end.
@Socialdawn_1

Closer to 5:55 when he crosses the line, gets the baton early. Official splits have him at 1:52.4, amazing finish
