Why do some commentators insult our flag by referring to it as the yellow, green and black when it is on official records as the black, gold and green, alternately the black green and gold? I think I know one reason. Lately our decidedly gold colour has been redone with a wishy washy yellow which should be rejected. I am sure these commentators would object to the American flag being referred to as the white, blue red, the red, blue and white or the blue, white and red. It is not difficult to assume a second reason for the offensive reference to the Jamaican flag which always leaves the black last. A simple diplomatic note from the ministry of foreign affairs should not be hard, however, I should not expect to see that happen
