It would be nice to do a voiceover/commentary version discussing why you took which line, avoiding potholes/bad patches, how hard you brake etc. Perhaps Sy could discuss the irritation of hearing Matt's squeaky brake pads?

Hey GCN, lovely climb. Definately on the bucket list. I don't know if you guys cut them out, but I can't see cars so thats another plus. I think it would be cool to see a direct comparison of the break pads before and after, if there is any visible wear. Also, a quick introduction on the bikes you're riding and some data on the screen would be awesome. Cheers for all the great stuff and keep going guys!

Is it a coincidence that the soundtrack to this (excellent) video is out of the same stable as the Grand Tour theme? You guys are surely the undisputed Top Gear of the roadie channel world? In the same way that I would imagine myself as Hannibal in the A-Team (strictly when I was a lad, of course. Ahem!) who would you all see yourselves as in the TG/GT line up? Matt = Murdoch?...
@markp3537 жыл бұрын
Epic decent boys. Where were all the cars? Did you have the road blocked off? It would have been helpful if you could have yelled out your speed at different moments to get an understanding of just how quick you were going.

Global Cycling Network Okay, great. Sorry, I didn't want to be too harsh..
@Indulonman7 жыл бұрын
IMHO those videos are about enjoynment and view. As you don't pedal most of the time, power, cadence and HR are irrelevant. So only gradient and speed left. And because it's not a race, it doesn't matter. Power data are interesting for sure, but everybody puts it in videos all over the screen so you can't almost see the ride, so I'm glad I can enjoy pure downhill.

if you use premiere pro, make sure you export it as h.264. depending on the size, the bit rate i usually use is 3-5mbps for 720p vids. maybe 5-7mbps for 1080p. cheers 😁😁

My personal opinion , especially at the beginning all those constant camera shifts between riders made it impossible to really focus on trajectories and follow the road (that I know well) ... I think this video is just good for those who like the scenery and a few fast shots that last half a corner ... I’m definitely going to make my own, quiet (no music), with single camera and if I can data too: maybe boring, but that’s what I prefer
@geoturcotte7 жыл бұрын
seriously, those brakes sound like the call of a wild turkey
@Joeragon277 жыл бұрын
I get that you are trying to show both riders perspectives but the constant cuts are kinda distracting and it would have been alot smoother and easier to watch from just one POV. Also as has been said speed data would be awesome, but cool vid nonetheless!
