Great video - that is why I don't buy dispensers, I buy pitchers. I buy 3 BPA water bottles and keep them in my fridge. Then I just pour the water from the pitcher into them. I leave the pitcher on my counter (I have room). I hated standing with the fridge open to fill something. Thanks

I came here to comment that the Epic doesn't remove the most contaminants on the market. Clearly Filtered removes over 365, while Epic removes over 200. I have a Clearly Filtered pitcher, but I've been concerned that it filters quickly... in about 8 minutes. Customer service says anything 5 minutes or more is effective for filtering, but still not sure. How quickly does yours filter? And may I ask why you have both?

@@kathymiranda2116 I haven't tested this myself, but I highly doubt it. These cartridges aren't standard-sized.

Silly question but can you buy bottled water with no fluoride and use the dispenser to filter out the micro plastics? Do all micro-plastics get filtered out? That’s my main concern more than the fluoride

You might find a bottled water brand with no/low fluoride content. I think this is usually displayed on the label. As for the microplastic, it also depends how you define that. So there is microplastic and there is nanoplastic which is even smaller. I think there is no research yet on the removal of nanoplastic. As for microplastic removal, we couldn't test for this because it's extremely expensive. Sorry, not the most helpful answer.

You won't answer your phone, mail box full, and no reply to comments. Got two nano dispensers, how much Calcium gets removed? Still no answer. Why can't you answer anything? Something is going on, going back to Zero where I know for sure. The TDS tester with yours says 384 after filtered, same as the tap water. What's up with that?

I'm not sure to be honest. What I can tell you is that the plastic is BPA/BPS-free.

I originally purchased a lifestraw glass pitcher and the water tastes great but its an awkward design, one false move or bobble and you are filling the spout where the clean water comes out.

I wouldn't say that Epic removes the most contaminants on the market. The Clearly Filtered Pitcher removes 365 contaminants, to Epic's 200. Thanks for explaining the difference between Epic & Nano. Just wish they had one that removes both viruses and fluoride. And thanks for clarifying your statement that it is NSF certified.

Why do we have to choose between either of those filters to get fluoride out? That’s one of my main concerns? Of course I want bacteria out and fluoride so I have to buy both

Any idea how this compares to the ProOne filter pitcher with the G2 mini filters? I think the ProOne filters great but the actual pitcher is not big enough so I was checking the Epic Pure out.

Lol... they can filter loads of stuff, charge $150 for a filter, charge $69 for the reservoir, but they can't design a better leak free spout and their best solution is to blame the consumer because they didn't tighten the silicon O ring. 😂

What I do is use the top of range brita maxtron pro cartridge which is 1/5 of the price but nearly as good then I dispense into an epic water bottle so double my filter life

@@boswater6065 you won’t have the maxtra in the US. Maxtra is for European, UK and Australian market as far as I’m aware. From my understanding the pro is there best filter

I just sent this to epic, "Hi I would like to order a Pure dispenser to mitigate 1-4 dioxane (as stated on your website) from my municipal water supply. I have read that the only way to remove this compound is with a combination of UV and hydrogen peroxide which seems like it's only available for commercial systems not residential, so can you please help me understand how a simple filter dispenser such as this can accomplish the same result." Do you have any info on this or perhaps some of your viewers, this nasty compound is being detected in municipal water all over the place.
