Vlad was once captured and imprisoned so to kill time and freak out the guards he would dissect rats in his cell also the Vlad the Hat nailer part came from a story about two emissary came to visit Vlad and refused to remove there turbans while greeting him so he had spike nail jammed into there skull so the can never remove their turbans. Dude was a terrifying person so it makes sense some would question if he was even human.

Damn. That turban story is horrifying 😨
@lucykaede3663
@lucykaede3663 Жыл бұрын
He didn't nailed there turbans because the greeting it was just an excuse. The whole story is that 2 emisarry did come to collect the tax for the Ottomans but they didn't come alone(there was 5k Janissary with them), Vlad didn't like that and wanted show his authority also that 5k army did become the 1st "trees" in the Forest of Târgoviște(later did become known as the "forest of the impaled" and when the Ottomans found the forest during the war it was much bigger, estimated number is 20-40k impaled people(all of them was war prisoner and not his own people) warning, little garphic 😅 "The sultan's army entered into the area of the impalements, which was seventeen stades long and seven stades wide. There were large stakes there on which, as it was said, about twenty thousand men, women, and children had been spitted, quite a sight for the Turks and the sultan himself. The sultan was seized with amazement and said that it was not possible to deprive of his country a man who had done such great deeds, who had such a diabolical understanding of how to govern his realm and its people. And he said that a man who had done such things was worth much. The rest of the Turks were dumbfounded when they saw the multitude of men on the stakes. There were infants too affixed to their mothers on the stakes, and birds had made their nests in their entrails."

He was a human, a hero and a Saint. Unfortunately, this is American opinions about him being evil. It's funny to watch foreigners talking about Vlad Țepeș and debate me because I don't know history, yet I'm a Romanian AND huge fan of Vlad. People keep saying he was dipping bread in the blood of those he was impaling. Not true. Far from true. Just one of the many things foreigners got wrong about Vlad, but that's because Vlad did banish and deleted some of the small hats that were running corrupt business in Bucharest. (((they))) had to make Vlad an evil character.

@creaturetransylvania8943 it means devil in Romanian too. Dragon is translated by dragon in Romanian too. Idk how this "dragon" shit was invented. In New & old Romanian dracul means the devil. Some foreigners who don't speak Romanian put it as "dragon" on Wikipedia. It means devil. It never meant anything else. Vlad's dad got this nickname and used it for his house as a sign of cruelty towards any enemy trying to occupy our country.

For Vlad they used both his historical stuff & his exaggerating myths from his foes. To my knowledge the rat thing is a myth but a very widely told one while he was locked up by the Turks. He did not put woman & children on stakes but he did lure the greedy lazy & those who just lived off others into a banquet hall,locked them inside & burned the building. As if you did not work hard & helped,he didn't think you belonged in his land. The reason behind Vlad having to be so cruel in war is he needed to use fear tactics & guerrilla warfare since his forces only numbered around 20k & the Ottoman empire had a force against him numbers between 200,000-400,000. A hero & iron fist ruler to his people but a devil to his enemies.

Dracula lost the moment he used lines from The Count from Sesame Street like it was a good thing. But he lost by anyways, because he's got a number of self owns and baseless insults that had no weight whatsoever. Like, besides bragging about inspiring and referencing a child friendly character like The he Count, he also brings up that he needs to be invited into people's houses despite that being a significant point against him being threatening, and both of these are serious self owns. As for his insults, he challenges the idea that Vlad can read or washes his neck. Unless there's actual historic evidence to suggest both of these were true, then that's barely any better than saying something as childish as "you're stupid".

Vlad won, but Drac had a couple good lines. I don't think this was meant to be taken serious though, cause Drac's lines were mostly just jokes or not at all serious. Like season 1 ERB. Dracula could have easily been made a threat with all his fictional history, but this was mostly just the novelty people see the old school Dracula as now compared to more modern horror icons and such. Like the kind of Dracula you'd get from a Scooby Doo special.

I feel like "I rock the house once I'm invited into it" is kind of a self diss demonstrating one of the many, many weaknesses vampires have. I believe they also threw rice onto the ground there referring to how a vampire has to count the amount of rice grains spilt before they can continue. The rat bit is kind of self explanatory. Vlad is a known sadist and as his father sold both Vlad and Radu to the Ottomans for favors and guarantees (Pretty common back then) Radu took to the Ottoman life better than Vlad did and thus Vlad didn't have the same privileges among the Ottomans as Radu did and spent a good chunk of his life imprisoned. And since there's not much for a warped sadistic mind to do, he took a hobby where he could to spend the time and chose a pet rat to play with. Unfortunate for the rat, but that's how it goes. Torturing small animals as a child is one classical sign of a warped mind and you would need one to come up with all the cruelty Vlad is known for. Albeit it is not exactly known how much of that known cruelty is true and how much is fiction, but still. Then again, I do feel like you have to give some bonus points to Dracula as he is rapping against his younger self that he can recognise while this does not necessarily apply to Vlad, leaving him open to be more cruel towards his later fictitious (hopefully) self.

To be honest, I might be in the minority opinion here, but the reason why I do not think Vlad won, is because he was historically way too gorey and malicious. I mean, I get it, in terms of having historical power and brutality and good roasts in this ERB (as opposed to Dracula, who is more mild), then maybe Vlad has won the battle in that respect, but when it comes to class and style, Dracula at least murders with style and for a specific reason, without being too gorey (even in a fictional setting). Problem is, when a historical person becomes way too malicious (after all, Vlad without any scruples murdered babies, children, and rats in a slow sadistic way), that person automatically turns me off and invokes disgust, and even an epic ERB can't save his/her reputation. Yeah I get it, Vlad prevented the Turkish Ottomans from controlling Europe, but that doesn't justify thousands and thousands of butchered innocent babies, children, innocent men and women, and animals in a slow gorey painful manner. That's just... a huge "no" for me! I don't get honestly why many people try to excuse Vlad's evil actions on countless hordes of innocent beings on the sole basis that he may have prevented the Ottomans from taking over Europe. The end does not always justify the means. And someone who tortures animals like Vlad is definitely mentally ******* up!

There's an anime where Mages gather together every certain amount of years to compete for the Holy Grail (wish granting device) in a war where murder was not only allowed, but it was always the easiest way to win. In this competition, each chosen mage would summon a heroic spirit from the past, future, or fiction to help them battle the other mages. Mages generally can't choose who they summon, but they can increase the odds to get a specific spirit based on altering, or adding certain parameters to the summoning ritual. The form a Heroic Spirit takes is not based on any historical, or literary accuracy, but on the myths, and legends surrounding the Spirit. Although particularly willful spirits can enforce their "true self" regardless of the myths. One mage managed to summon the historical Vlad the Impaler, an immensely powerful warrior whenever he battled on his ancestral land (which this particular competition happened to take place in), but it came with a twist. He was the historical Vlad the Impaler, but to his utter shame, due to the myths surrounding his legend, his trump card was to transform into Count Dracula.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 It's part of a series of animes named the Fate series. Which is based on a number of graphic novels, and games of the same name. The most well known Fates are "Fate/Stay Night", and "Fate/Zero". The former being a direct sequel to the latter. Although most would tell you to watch Fate/Stay Night first. However, there are different versions of Fate/Stay Night, because it's based on a "Choose your own Adventure" type visual novel/game (Never played). Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works seems to be the most well known, but Fate/Stay Night Grand Order seems to contain important information that helps a viewer better understand Unlimited Blade Works. Some say that the best viewing order is: F/SN Grand Order -> F/SN Unlimited Blade Works -> Fate/Zero. Personally, I prefer suggesting Fate/Zero first, because I have a thing about watching stories in chronological order regardless of the release order. Mind you, even though Fate/Zero was written after Fate/Stay Night, the anime adaptation of Fate/Zero came out before the anime adaptations of Fate/Stay Night. The one with Vlad the Impaler is called Fate/Apocrypha. It barely has any relation to the others other than the general concept of a war being waged between mages, and spirits, and the fact that it seems to take place in the same universe, but perhaps a different timeline. The main difference between Apocrypha and the other one is that in this one it starts off with two teams of Mages battling against each other. Once one team of mages is defeated, the remaining mages of the winning team fight it out amongst themselves to determines who wins the grail.
