When you sin, you are inviting evil. Anyways, Bram Stoker had that as one if his rules for Dracula. He even tricked people to let him inside. Been used in hundreds of vampire interpretations through TV, movies, books, what have you.

Vampires don't actually die in sunlight, they just lose their powers like an inverse of Superman. The whole sunlight thing is because the movie Nosferatu had to changed the ending from Dracula due to copyright reasons and what was an allegory in the novel about the nightmare being over as Dracula is reduced to ash as the sun's ray hit on him was turned into a literal method of destruction. Also that "half battle" is a G.I.Joe reference based on the Arise Serpentor story arch where COBRA used Vlad's DNA to make Serpentor.

mmhmm. Vlad's last name was Dracula as well. I think they just saw how brutal he was, and decided to make him into a devilish fiend of myth. Another thing to note. Vlad is put down in history as one of the greatest warriors of all time. He took to the field himself and killed more people single handedly than pretty much anyone else in history.

Vlad's second verse is better than Dracula's, but who won comes down to how much you ding someone for bars based on false information. The truth is that sunlight doesn't kill Dracula, it only hampers his supernatural abilities a bit (but not completely). And it's extremely unlikely Dracula was ever based on Vlad. That's a misconception that didn't come about until the 1950's, and was largely disproved when Bram Stoker's notes were found.

You guys missed the Batman reference from Dracula. When Batman asks Superman if he can bleed in Batman v Superman. Dracula is a BAT man so "let's see if you can bleed". Honestly Vlad's shaqula, crackula shit was weak... Funny but weak. This is a weird one to judge since Dracula is based of Vlad so he's really battling a version of himself.
