It is quite the awesome spot! I'll tell my son you said so - he will appreciate it. Although - as you can tell by the lack of drone footage - he needs to get better at hitting the record button on those goggles! :)

Beautiful footage, even the crash :) That place looks perfect because i could beat a car with a stick after getting frustrated trying to drift! Or throw an axe at my drift car, even better.

My eldest has been several times to kart. He's got various RCs in different scales (i.e. SCX10, Carisma WRX, 4wd Slash VXL...). He's asked for an E30 drift car for his birthday...!!! We live about 45minutes from it.

Nice! As you already know, the body shells are interchangeable between chassis - but MST makes a nice RMX with an E30 body!

Regards to our other comments. I found this nifty little gadget on hobby wing, a 3 chan ubec, each channel you can set to different voltages. Theyre currently out of stock but wjen theyre in im going to snag one up

@@RoadsideRC given what you said before about the gyro and receiver with 7.4v bec... I may just use it for my servo as that's a high voltage servo. PowerHD d15 6.0v-8.4. I think that ubec may be a little too much in amps. Not entirely sure but I need more research.

@@davidhess3320 Ahhh - yes, I do remember that. Honestly, I personally wouldn't waste the money attempting to get the servo to HV...but if you really want to see what happens - good luck!

I have a quick question. I have thick oil in the diff, but would it make more of a difference to lock it? Thanks love the vids as always!

For rc drifting, you want the opposite!! You want more of an open diff. It helps smooth out drifts and can lead to more speed with greater exits. Sounds like you need some oil and some experimenting!

Hey Troy, is it possible to reduce the speed gap in between RWD and 4wd builds by standardizing a max tire grip for each ie. Medium tires for RWD and super hard for 4wd?

Hi there! Interesting idea. That would directionally help - yes. But the fundamental physics of how the cars drift are still VERY different, so would still not be able to slide together.
