The planes were adapted to carry bombs beneath the wings, but they also had compartments in the cockpit for smaller bombs and/or grenades that they could throw manually.

Never mess with a woman with a Mission! Don´t just fuggn do it! There is a Book, originally published in russian, I got a german translation. Dunno if theres an english version. It tells the whole story of the "all female units"
