This is absolutely fantastic! Should be very proud of their efforts, and the kids are too lucky to have a family/friends that put this together!

Love your work, the kids will have fun for years, I've built two the first about 30 years ago using treated pine logs set in concrete, it's still going strong, the second for the grandies about 7 years ago same deal, it gets lots of use. Cheers from west Australia

Dear excellent work and very beautiful result, what I liked most is that apparently the trees were not intervened with foreign elements attached, the environment provided by that group of trees was respected and the maximum use was made, respecting nature.¡¡¡¡¡ 👍😉

Great work!! Love the touch of the curved deck. Any thoughts on why no top coat on wood?? Sealer, stain, etc? Genually asking. Wouldn't the bare wood weather faster?
@spottedowldiy8 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yeah the wood was freshly green. When we built our deck we waited 9 months before staining but it still proved too soon as it weeped through the stain making it look weird. We expect to seal it later this coming summer when it will be over a year old

It looks really good, but to be a tree house should it not be in the tree instead of on stilts, hard for to call it a tree house by only being surrounded by trees. Still it looked fun to build.
@spottedowldiy8 ай бұрын
yes technically youre correct. I was initially going to attach it to the tree with tree house hardware but upon researching, theres a risk of hurting the tree to the point it can get rot and eventually die, so we decided to preserve the integrity of the tree, even being careful not to hurt the root system when installing the posts
@Emtar238 ай бұрын
@@spottedowldiy It still looks like it would be fun and I myself would say, since I never had anything like this when I was young, go away kids my turn to play, even if I would break a hip trying lol.

Its not tree house, just house beside tree
@spottedowldiy8 ай бұрын
well I guess you didnt watch the complete video? Its wrapped around the trees. Technically youre correct though. 1. The finished house was too big for the trees. 2. When we considered attaching the tree house to the trees, the research came back as a risk for the health of the tree. If the tree dies you end up with a tree stump house... so we chose to preserve the integrity of the trees

Tell me you don’t know what a tree house is, without telling me it’s not a tree house.
@spottedowldiy9 ай бұрын
technically its not attached to the trees. Attaching them was an option however if not done correctly can destroy the integrity of the tree, then after the tree dies, it wont be a tree house huh. So we decided to respect the trees and build around them - regardless...thank you for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it

If you want to see a really fantastic tree house go to Nic Rijavek's channel. It is one of his earlier videos from several years ago, before building his log home.

Ummm....that's not a tree house
@spottedowldiy9 ай бұрын
technically you're correct, we were going to attach it to the tree till we found out that its possible to kill the tree, infections can get in, and then when the tree is dead its not going to be a tree house anymore, so the trees are respected and left untouched to allow them to thrive

Jesus Christ died for all of our sins. He died the death we all deserved. He was the perfect one who never sinned once, but he loved us so much he decided to die for us so our sins would be paid for and we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven before God the Father blamelessly. He is the living son of God who wants to know us and have a personal relationship with us. No matter what you have done no matter how far gone you think you are Jesus can and will save you. All you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Believe that he died on the cross for your sins and had a bodily resurrection 3 days later. We cannot be saved by our works but by faith in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Christ. You will have joy, happiness, love, and peace beyond understanding.

Never a good idea to house wood in concrete

@@spottedowldiy I’ve seen wood housed in a sonotube poured pier split the concrete open from the PT swelling. If you want it to last your posts should start above grade on post foot capping a pier. Pole barns bury their unhoused posts on a precast footing. But Even ground contact PT only lasts a decade if your lucky.
