The drone show at Disney Springs was so cool!! I really enjoyed it. We live right next to future EPIC universe. (The Courtney by Universal) Kinda not excited about the fireworks coming in May.. Fireworks go off every single night at 8 or 9pm at SeaWorld. So hearing it from 2 sides is gonna kinds suck. But at the same time being able to watch the construction for the past two years has been pretty cool i must say. I can see most of the park going to get my mail.

Yeah the Disney drone show was pretty good - the crowds and getting in and out were my least favorite part lolol! That’s cool being so close to Universal! We also hear Seaworlds fireworks and then the Ritz Carlton fireworks on the weekends also during the summer lol! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I would not be surprised if I saw a giant Bowsers Ship flying balloon since Universal is pulling out all the stopsand keeping some surprises 🥰 Especially with the fact there were spectacular stunts for the opening of islands of adventure

The drone which injured a child belongs to a different company, not the same as Universal employs. There are multiple levels of fail-safe to prevent a drone from flying out-of-bounds. When you see a drone going down into the water, it's actually because the fail-safe is doing its job and keeping the drone out of populated areas.

From what I’ve heard the projection mapping for universal is a new advanced external projection. The frozen one is a completely different technology. From everything I’ve seen is that the projections for universal will be more like electricity, magic, embers/fire, etc. to add layers. But it was never meant to be for the face but to blend them in to the environment in a more immersive way.

Drones will be back. They will just be further away from people. Another solution is to use a net of some sort that comes up as long as it doesn't take from the show. But I'm sure they'll figure out. They definitely should not be flown over or near anyone.

The projection mapping was never for Monsters, at least from what was rumored early on. The mapped faces are for Battle at the Ministry, and are being done from the front, not the rear.

I haven't seen that the FAA is done with their investigation yet, regarding the drones. I think those show drones are grounded until the FAA gives the go ahead on them. It's a tragedy what happened, but I hope they don't ground drones indefinitely for the companies that are taking the right precautions.

​@@TheNobleWay I just searched up Epic Universe logo and the first image should be the updated version. It just has better coloring and way clearer text. Another interesting thing is that the new logo changed when Universal stopped referring to all of their parks as "Universal's [blank]" into "Universal [blank]", dropping the 's from the end of Universal. It's not a big deal, just an OCD thing for me since I'm so used to the newer and higher quality logo.

Whats up yall hey im working in orlando at the entrance to the stelle hotels and be ready to have a bunch of traffic getting in the company we are working for has blocked the whole entrance but 1 lane in and out on universal and tradeshow road will universal and epic be where it will not be open for 2 to 3 more weeks

Is Epic allowed to set off real fireworks at a similar height as Magic Kingdom? If so, im curious as to why they're restricted at Universal and Islands but not at Epic. Aren't they only like a half a mile apart in distance? Interesting that Epic isn't bound by the same fireworks restrictions as their other two parks.

They are actually. They are basically a modified version of them. Probably not technically a scoop anymore but basically similar tech with the ability to raise the platform up and down quickly about 10 feet. At least that’s the info we have.
